In election 2008, don’t forget Angry White Man
Aspen Times ^ | 2/9/08 | Gary Hubbell

There is a great amount of interest in this year’s presidential elections, as everybody seems to recognize that our next president has to be a lot better than George Bush. The Democrats are riding high with two groundbreaking candidates — a woman and an African-American — while the conservative Republicans are in a quandary about their party’s nod to a quasi-liberal maverick, John McCain.

Each candidate is carefully pandering to a smorgasbord of special-interest groups, ranging from gay, lesbian and transgender people to children of illegal immigrants to working mothers to evangelical Christians.

There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard.

His common traits are that he isn’t looking for anything from anyone — just the promise to be able to make his own way on a level playing field. In many cases, he is an independent businessman and employs several people. He pays more than his share of taxes and works hard.

The victimhood syndrome buzzwords — “disenfranchised,” “marginalized” and “voiceless” — don’t resonate with him. “Press ‘one’ for English” is a curse-word to him. He’s used to picking up the tab, whether it’s the company Christmas party, three sets of braces, three college educations or a beautiful wedding.

Exactly. Harsh economic times in the past have led to global wars. Better to have it an not need it then need it and not have it.

I hope, in my lifetime, that the opportunity comes for this particular demographic to vote with a bullet...

I've been of this world for a little over a half-century, and I've never killed anyone under any circumstances.

I'd like to keep it that way.

That said, one entry on Claire Wolfe's list of "101 Things To Do Until The Revolution" is, paraphrased, "It's not good enough to decide what you're willing to die for. You also have to decide what you're willing to kill for.".

I've been working on that one for over a decade.

Exceptional article. Such articles should not be exception, but the norm.

“While I don’t agree with everything in this article, it is a fact that virtually every time the law changes in this country it results in white men being screwed - and we are the backbone of this country. “

It’s called “deconstruction” and it is a major tenet of marxism. White males are indeed the back bone of this country, which is why all of the left-wing interests have been working tirelessly to emasculate our culture and marginalize the white male. When they say “women and minorities” they are really saying “everyone but white males.”
