There is a great amount of interest in this year’s presidential elections, as everybody seems to recognize that our next president has to be a lot better than George Bush. The Democrats are riding high with two groundbreaking candidates — a woman and an African-American — while the conservative Republicans are in a quandary about their party’s nod to a quasi-liberal maverick, John McCain.
Each candidate is carefully pandering to a smorgasbord of special-interest groups, ranging from gay, lesbian and transgender people to children of illegal immigrants to working mothers to evangelical Christians.
There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard.
His common traits are that he isn’t looking for anything from anyone — just the promise to be able to make his own way on a level playing field. In many cases, he is an independent businessman and employs several people. He pays more than his share of taxes and works hard.
The victimhood syndrome buzzwords — “disenfranchised,” “marginalized” and “voiceless” — don’t resonate with him. “Press ‘one’ for English” is a curse-word to him. He’s used to picking up the tab, whether it’s the company Christmas party, three sets of braces, three college educations or a beautiful wedding.

I don’t think the author has quite thought this out. If the Angry White Man is an independent businessman on a slim profit margin, it’s likely that he has himself employed an illegal immigrant or two.
There are two types of “angry” white male. The kind who vote rationally against libs and the kind who vote for libs. The latter are the most infuriating of all. Because I hear them rail about all the lib-inspired idioicies happening in the country but still vote for Dems because the Donkey Party has found that issue that resonates with them. Unions, health care, social security, you name it.

For the white man to look out for his own self-interest is strictly verboten for he is privileged and will always be so no matter how far he falls socioeconomically or how much his reputation can destroyed much more easily by accusations of sexism or racism than others of a different ethnic background.
The angry white man has no racial identity and liberals have stripped any vestige of racial pride even as other races wallow in theirs. The angry white man cannot be proud of his gender either because that would be sexist.
Ever think the angry white male is angry for a reason?

I hope, in my lifetime, that the opportunity comes for this particular demographic to vote with a bullet. The impetus to put this country back on the correct path sure ain't gonna come from the purple-haired lesbian amputees and socialists.

My friends laugh at me when I identify defensible homesteading sites in nearby hills using GIS...when I make a point of never repeating a route when taking a short trip...buying small gold and silver coins...learning obscure survival technology from pre-history.

Damned straight. While I don't agree with everything in this article, it is a fact that virtually every time the law changes in this country it results in white men being screwed - and we are the backbone of this country. No, we aren't everyone, and absolutely, positively many tens of millions of non-whites and women have, do and will continue to contribute greatly to making this country the best place on Earth to live (or the least crappy, depending on your perspective). But the white man is the single most oppressed minority group in this country.
Oh, and if you want to see angry white men, watch what happens if the Supreme Court rules in favor of DC in the Heller case this Spring.
I sincerely hope that angry white men - and a whole lot of other patriotic Americans of every color and of the fairer sex - combine to torpedo the Demonrat-Socialist agenda.
