Face it. It is all but inevitable that McCain win the race for the GOP presidential nominee. Get over it. McCain will be the GOP nominee.
The time for divisive talk about how much you hate McCain for screwing the conservatives and how he is a RINO and his other faults is over. WE are doing NO ONE any good by continuing to publicly air our grievances about him. I know, I have done my share. I don't like him one bit, but he will be a far better president than either of the two 'Rats.
With the atmosphere as anti-McCain as it is, it would not be hard for a liberal posing as another McCain hater to sneak in and keep throwing rocks at that hornet's nest. So let's tone down the rhetoric and the vitriol aimed at him and TRY to find a common ground with him.
McCain, we can hope to influence and guide. Obama and Hitlery will absolutely NOT listen or compromise on any conservative issue.
We know that there is absolutely no way that the 'Rats will make the Bust tax cuts permanent if there is a 'Rat in the WH.
We KNOW that any Supreme Court judge who retires or dies will immediately be replaces with a pro-abortion, anti-gun, anti-freedom liberal; probably from the 9th Circus.
We KNOW that there will be nothing but pure amnesty and absolutely no border enforcement if a 'Rat gets the WH. The 'Rats NEED poor, uneducated, miserable people to advance their socialist agenda.
It is time to stop bickering and hating McCain and stop the postings about how you will sit home and watch Obama or Hitlery become the next president. That is worse than stupidity. It is admitting defeat and quitting.
And I for one will not give up and pout at my home on election day.

I read much of the link and there is NO WAY I could vote for McSick, we lose our SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS and we will be dead. Only law enforcement and criminals including ILLEGALS will have weapons. A Pres. McCain would no doubt give his good friend JUAN HERNANDEZ the office of AG. I don*t know how much hope we can have that another candidate will arise—and how I wish people had solidly got behind Duncan Hunter.
Help spread the word.

This will be the first time I haven’t voted Republican for president, and that goes back a long ways.
I have never voted third party in presidential elections. But then, again, I have never seen a candidate as bad and as dangerous as McCain. And that includes Richard Nixon. I don’t regret voting for him. Or for Eisenhower. Or for Bob Dole. Or for Ford. Or for either Bush. Some of those guys were not the best possible candidates, but they were better than their opponents.
McCain just goes over the line.
Sorry, the issues are simply too serious to shut up and take it.

When Clinton won in ‘96, I gave myself 5 minutes to get over it. I told a liberal friend of mine that back then and when Bush won in 2000, I gave him the same amount of time to rant and be done with it.
If McCain is the best that the GOP could come up with they can go pound sand.
The only positive thing I can say about the guy is that he stood by his wife (2nd) when she was stealing drugs from charity packages. Just what we need in the White House.

Oh, btw, McCain flat out lied about Romney
s position on Iraq at one point and did it in such a way that Romney could not dispute the lie before the vote.
And yes, it was legal for him to encourage his delegates to support Huckabee in order to torpedo Romney in WV. But fair and square?
McCain does nothing fair and square.
He’s got my vote. But I also give my support to the right-wing establishment to force him to make deals and make him deliver on them.

I was saying the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I’m coming around, though. As much as I love W, I’ve been frustrated that’s he’s turned the other cheek his whole presidency—basically, he’s never fought back.
Well, McCain is a bulldog...you dis him, he slaps you upside the head. And he has a major league thing for al Qaeda. Will he destroy the party? Maybe. Would Obama endanger the country? Possibly. I think I’ll vote the maybe.

Just heard this evening that he voted NO on outlawing enhanced interrogation techniques. Hellary and B. Hussein Obama didn’t vote.

Thank you for this post. The damage that a Clinton or Obama presidency would do makes it important to not only vote for McCain but make sure he wins.

Anyway, emotions are running high around here, regardless of what your solution is to the problem...and we do have a problem so I expect we will all get on each others nerves from now to November, at times. Right now, I just want to get thru the nomination. Huckabee staying in is a chance, keeps people focused on issues and prevents the arrogant one from being coronated..all positives. When/if JM gets crowned then maybe we will have to re-group but even then I don't see him winning the presidency.
I agree with you that Bush was far too nice and polite to the Democrats, and didn’t fight back as much as he might have.
But I certainly don’t think McCain is the answer. When McCain gets angry, its with conservatives or his own allies. When the Swift Boat veterans questioned John Kerry, McCain called them all sorts of names, including liars. He has done that sort of thing repeatedly. But butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth when he pals around with Teddy Kennedy or his other Democrat allies.
Sure McCain is angry—with us.
