Face it. It is all but inevitable that McCain win the race for the GOP presidential nominee. Get over it. McCain will be the GOP nominee.
The time for divisive talk about how much you hate McCain for screwing the conservatives and how he is a RINO and his other faults is over. WE are doing NO ONE any good by continuing to publicly air our grievances about him. I know, I have done my share. I don't like him one bit, but he will be a far better president than either of the two 'Rats.
With the atmosphere as anti-McCain as it is, it would not be hard for a liberal posing as another McCain hater to sneak in and keep throwing rocks at that hornet's nest. So let's tone down the rhetoric and the vitriol aimed at him and TRY to find a common ground with him.
McCain, we can hope to influence and guide. Obama and Hitlery will absolutely NOT listen or compromise on any conservative issue.
We know that there is absolutely no way that the 'Rats will make the Bust tax cuts permanent if there is a 'Rat in the WH.
We KNOW that any Supreme Court judge who retires or dies will immediately be replaces with a pro-abortion, anti-gun, anti-freedom liberal; probably from the 9th Circus.
We KNOW that there will be nothing but pure amnesty and absolutely no border enforcement if a 'Rat gets the WH. The 'Rats NEED poor, uneducated, miserable people to advance their socialist agenda.
It is time to stop bickering and hating McCain and stop the postings about how you will sit home and watch Obama or Hitlery become the next president. That is worse than stupidity. It is admitting defeat and quitting.
And I for one will not give up and pout at my home on election day.

Face facts. McCain won his delegates fair and square. We conservatives can debate why we did not field a candidate that we could all get behind, but we did not. So...we can either whine and sulk like sore losers...or we can work to elect McCain, who, despite his many faults will at least support the military.
And, of course, we can work for conservative candidates on the local and state levels, while keeping our eyes open for a 2012 conservative candidate.

I agree with your assessment. There is a fine line between ‘principled’ and ‘stupid’.
There are other ways I can work toward seeing my conservative principles applied to the only viable party available. I don’t own a white flag.

McCain is head and shoulders better than Hillary or Obama.
I will not stay home and pout on election day either. I will go and vote for or write-in someone with conservative principles.
Cannot be said often enough, the republicans will grow a tiny pair and fight the Democrat, whereas liberal McCain will reach to the democrats and cut our collective heads off.
That dog ain't gonna hunt much longer unless there's another big terror attack. Besides, much of the deterioration in the USA I once knew has everything to do with globalism on the one hand and depraved morals on the other; neither has anything to do with terrorism.
It's like jumping out of a crashing plane.
Rotten choice, but what else are you gonna do?
