Ronald Reagan audio clip

Back in 1961, Ronald Reagan spoke out against socialized medicine in the above clip. His words are as true today as they were back then. Pass this one along to all your friends, especially those who have bought the "feel good" propaganda foisted upon us by Hillary Rotten Clinton, Michael Moron and other Leftists.

Jim, you gotta keep up . . . the so-called conservative pundits are out there telling us Reaganism is dead and that conservatism must evolve.

“Now back in 1927 an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket, said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program…

One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project, most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it. Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it. We have an example of this. Under the Truman administration it was proposed that we have a compulsory health insurance program for all people in the United States, and, of course, the American people unhesitatingly rejected this.”

I am afraid this is exactly what we are going to get next year.

Since people decided not to support the most conservative AND electable candidates offered up this year, we are going to get the anti-Conservative in the White House and he will be supported by a Dem majority House and Senate.

You mean the “conservative” guy who was pushing compulsory health insurance, ie, RomneyCare?

Thanks Jim. A lot of people start slipping into socialist thinking while defending a mistep or compromise by a candidate they support. Conservatives need to be reminded of their core principles in an era that is leaning to the left politically.

We need a plan to get back the House and Senate before that happens.

Great find.

Jim it’s not looking like her majesty is going to be in a position to socialize anything. It appears that we’re just not ready to elect a woman president in this country, very sad really. I think I’m going cry in a moment...OK moment over.

Of course his vagueness, the oh so Jr. Senator from Illinois may have some bright ideas. Hard to tell really since the media can’t keep their legs from shaking long enough to ask him ANY tough questions.

I think they may finally get nationalized healthcare passed in the next administration . . . after 50 or 60 years of trying. To make it worse for the middle-class the left has discovered the magic of unfunded mandates. They will simply order us to use our own money to buy the healthcare whether or not we are young and healthy and whether or not we can afford it. These numbers are off the top of my head, but when 4% of our national income is confiscated for “retirement” and 25% of our economy is under government control, and an additional 20% goes to income taxes, and another 7% or so goes to state governments (much of it to pay for federal unfunded mandates), and another 1% or so goes to local governments, by my calculation we are suddenly at 56% or so of the economy under government control. I’m not even including estimates of regulatory costs.

Say a sad goodbye to the America of your fathers and watch as your children become dependent on government for their daily bread.

Reagan is still paying dividends.

And the RINOs who followed him are too.

We simply must find a way of getting conservatives elected to office in this nation. And yes, I do mean ones who will not rabidly endorse the antics of the defenseless.

Thanks Jim. It's a crying shame we have to go back so far to find someone (a politician) worthy of our respect.

I like that , but thought it was Will Rogers.

The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then they get elected and prove it. ~P.J. O’Rourke

Thank you Jim. I wish the GOP could find someone with the guts today to stand up to Obama and hillary with such a speech.
