I want you to know that also I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience. If I still have time, I might add, Mr. Trewhitt, I might add that it was Seneca or it was Cicero, I don't know which, that said if it was not for the elders correcting the mistakes of the young, there would be no state. -- Ronald Wilson Reagan

In this case, McCain needs to say, "To quote a favorite President of Mr. Obama and myself, I'm not going to speak against my opponents youth and inexperience...."

That's a bad paraphrase of the Reagan quote, but you get the idea.

Yes, he did. I noticed that as soon as Obama said it and told my husband that it was a dig.

Well, since Obama is raising the issue, maybe McCain can respond with this, “Barack Hussein Obama has spent 40% of his life worshiping in a mosque. Isn’t it nice that the USA is so tolerant of his Muslim background?”

I really don’t want to give control of my country to the next generation. Socialist propaganda and indoctrination through the public education system has wreaked havoc on America.

Message to those younger than me: Get married, have kids (lots), and keep them the heck away from the NEA.

John S. McCain, III was serving his country as a naval officer, before Mr. Obama was even born conceived.

“We’re (the Democrats) are the party of tomorrow.”

They’ve been saying this for the last 40 years. Their ideas are the same too: socialism and surrender. But maybe this new generation is dumb enough to buy it. God help us all.

btw, Jimmah "the peanut/malaise" carTurd, once "complimented": Hubert H. Humphrey, as an Elderly, (as in very old/decrepit/worn-0ut; not Elder, meaning respected/reveled) statesmen of the "August" Democratic Party in the 1976 Campaign.

Obama will continue attacking McCain’s age until we get smart at the convention and nominate someone else.

Its bizarre to see these posts that actually support a radical socialist Dem that would shut this web site down as soon as possible indoctrinate our kids into this left wing , pot smoking, military hating , Louis Farrakhan hate mongering , .
The same sleazy Osama who was losing in the Senate race until he got a fellow Chicago Daley hack judge to OPEN HIS REPUBLICAN RIVAL’S DIVORCE PAPERS !!!!!
Osama will smear, smear, and smear , that is how the radical left operates.
But , the Dem left tried the OLD MAN attack on Reagan and it did not work and actually hurt them !~

When are we going to demand McCain’s health records. I’d rather know now than get blind sided. You know Obama/Hillary will bring it up soon.

Did Obama Play the Age Card Against McCain?

If McCain does get the nomination, some ads will write themselves.

For example:

It is called the Grand Old Party for a good reason.

John McCain is the best the GOP could find. The GOP stands for Grand Old Party.

Ronald Reagan may have put the C in Conservative, but John McCain will put the O in Grand Old Party.

[If Obama is the nominee]
The Grand Old Party has nominated a candidate from the past; the Democratic Party has nominated a candidate who looks to the future.

The O in Obama stands for Optimism. The O in GOP stands for Grand Old Party.

Good way to alienate the largest voting block in the country - 60 and older.

Obama is an idiot.

He’ll discover that 18-year-old kids don’t vote much.

Been saying for weeks that Obama v McCain TV debates will highlight the multi-generation difference and make McCain look like a grumpy grandpa overdue for a good dump.

McOldman is going to be pummeled on the age issue.

Get used to it, it ain’t going away. It’s also a negtive for McCain as it chould, can and will get people focused on his old age and he will lose votes for it.

The mind starts going after 23 years of age, at 72-80 you should be golfing, not the leader of the free world.
