This recipe sounds so great, I can’t wait to try it.
Just one problem though, just where does one go in Puna to find this critter....I tried the local zoo, but they watch me like a hawk now that they know I am after a racoon.
Any suggestions for Mongoose?

Been hangin’ in there.
It’s nice you’re getting new carpeting.
I rent a duplex and would love to have new carpeting. But, I don’t think that’s gonna happen. :(

Glad you were on the side with less rain.

Not exactly......we got 10 inches of rain that day and were downslope from Waiakea Uka. Flash floods all day.

Seems a bit early for wildfires on the Edwards Plateau.

I could get you new carpeting if you were closer. We turn down a lot of things at our thrift store-even new. That reminds me of a story. When we first rented a warehouse for a TV studio Father said it was too big.It was only 32,000 square feet.He said we needed carpet-never listen to a priest:)We drove to a friend of his and he owned a carpet place and gave us enough carpet to cover the entire space. The crazy thing is we could not use it because of the camera’s on the tripods with the wheels.

We haven’t had substantial rain since September. It is beyond dry here. We have burn bans throughout the state.

I just hope it rains soon, or the sand will be blowing wild and free before long. Actually saw the first sandstorm about 2 weeks ago. Ugh!

Stay dry!...send the rain to West Texas! :D

Always good to hear from you, Islander.

Two things I'd never eat are the Mongoose......and the Mynah bird. I see both on the road eating each other all the time.
