NTINS:
The New London Submarine Base is actually in Groton Ct.
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy is in New London, CT, situated on the banks of the Thames River. On warm Summer nights, Coast Guard Cadets would sometimes take their dates down to secluded corners on the river bank to watch the submarine races and other nocturnal sports.
And while the young cadets were watching the submarine races, they were blissfully unaware that on the other side of the River Thames, the submarines were watching them. The periscopes were fitted with night vision optics, so someone in the duty section could track the events over in New London. And since the periscopes were connected to a close-circuit TV, everyone in the duty section could enjoy the show.

My dad made Raccoon BarBQ once.
The dressing looks tasty. I’m betting fresh Raccoon is better...

Well....we had sun between the passing showers. All in all a helluva lot better than last week. Up Waiakea Uka (Upper Waiakea) side there was 18 inches of rain in a day. I work on the down side.
