Virginia Freeper Voting for Obama - Tomorrow
self | 02-11-08 | WL-Law

Posted on 02/11/2008 7:13:26 AM PST by WL-law

Tomorrow is, of course, primary day in Virgina.

The question is -- how can I get the biggest effect with my primary vote, on shaping the November election?

A protest vote against McCain, i.e., for Huckabee? Sorry, can't pull the lever for the Huckster. Just can't do it -- as George Bush 41 would say, "not gonna do it".

A protest vote for Romney? Maybe, and that's my initial impulse, but it's not clear what I buy for that.

Crossing over and voting for Obama? That's my inclination. I'm worried about the effect, one that'e been cited by many (I read it again today in the latest Susan Estrich column) about the "gap" between Obams's polling numbers (even the exit polls) versus the final reality of the private voting booth results, which get spun as "Hillary comebacks". As my father would say, "Comebacks my arse."

The polling gap is telling anyone that wants to notice that "some democrats are uncomfortable about race", and are lying about it even as they leave the polls, and while that's no surprise to conservatives, it's an especially worrisome factor right now.

We've heard all the talk about who, between Hillary and Obama, is the more formidable candidate against the repubs, but I take that all for idle chatter. One elementary fact I can say for certain, one thing that I know -- -- is that I cannot BEAR the thought of either Clinton in the White House again. So I'm going to break with Ann Coulter on this one -- for me it's visceral.

So -- my intent is to vote democratic tomorrow, and pull the lever for Barack. Remember the old Steve Martin bit. “Steve, how are you sooo funny?” His response - “I put baloney in my shoes, and then I feel funny! Perhaps I'll get the baloney out before I head to the polls. I know I'll get a funny look from the registrar of voters, who'se a personal friend of mine. I'll give her a wink as she says "oh my!"

Do it! We can’t let Hitlery anywhere near the Whitehouse. The drive bys are not exactly trumpeting how great her loss was over the weekend. She got pummeled, pounded, shelacked, trampled! Did anyone notice the numbers? She couldn’t even make it over 40%! It wasn’t even close. If there is any doubt about her losing, then we must cross over and vote for the other guy.

Vote Republican and help to bring the party back together again. Don’t put in a vote for the dimocrats! In my mind that is not being true to your party.

I should have included the observation that Obama already has momentum. Voting Hillary keeps their race more likely to end up in turmoil for their party. They’re already in panic mode about it.....please contribute to that! :)

If Hillary is the nominee the Blacks in the RAT party will be Pi$$ed off beyond belief and so will the far left RATS that hate her.

All good points. Sadly, though, the dems always seem to get the black vote at the end of the day, although rejecting Obama will suppress the black vote. But that's why the dems invented "walking around" money, and "no ID" voting. They'll get the votes, even of the non-voters.

I wonder how many people post a reply without reading the entire thread?

He basically advocated leaving newborn, potentially viable infants - born alive and fully outside of the womb - unattendend until they died because people might begin to question the vaunted “right” to kill babies.

In many of his speeches; Ron Paul tells a heartbreaking story about witnessing this in a 'hospital' when he was younger...

“maybe you democrat voting fools should regroup on DU”

And where should we suggest the holier than thou, “gold Club” Conservatives go?

Okay, I’ll try to talk you out of it.

I am ignoring the Republicrat primary and voting for Hillary in the Democrat primary.

I am doing this for one reason and one reason only: I despise our useless, freedom-hating governor, Timothy “Spock” Kaine, and HE has endorsed Obama. It will make my day if he has to come to grips with the fact that “his” man cannot win in “his” state.

I care not which of the current crop of a##-holes infests the White House in 2009; any one will be as disastrous as the next, but I will not passx up a chance to “stick a thumb in the eye” of “Governor Spock”.

I would never vote for a muslim. Of course he claims he isn’t a muz, and we know for certain: A: Politicians never lie B: Muzzies never lie...

How idiotic. By your logic, President Bush is a Muslim, Ronald Reagan was a Muslim, Maggie Thatcher was a Muslim....

For goodness' sake, there's enough real issues about the guy to go after, no need to make stuff up.

Maybe you Republicrats should stock up on U.S. Constitution toilet paper. You’ll need a lot of during a McCain administration.

I do not think Obama is strong at all. What has he ever done to make you think he is “strong”?

However, I do agree that IF he gets the Dem. nomination he should NOT have Hillary Clinton as his Vice President. Choosing her would virtually guarantee that he dies in office.

Probably of a “suicide”.

I want him to push hilllereee so far back in the anals of history that we’d need Energerizer bunnies to locate her again.

I think you meant the "annals" of history, but maybe not since we're discussing Obamanation and The Beast. ;-)

Obama is leading Hill/Bill in the last polls for Virginia coming out...Virginia, if lost by Hillary will be the deathknell of her campaign...that means some of the Establisment Dems of Northern Va are abandoning the establishment for Obama.

My appologies if you are not a Republicrat.

For whom do YOU suggest we vote in the Virginia Primaries. We have to choose the primary of one criminal syndicate, I mean party, or the other (we are not allowed to vote in both). McInsane has already been “annointed” by the Republicrats, so there’s no point voting in taht one.

I am choosing the lesser of the two evil Democrat candidates in the PRIMARY. This is NOT the general election, though, and I see nothing wrong with hedging my bets in hopes that maybe the country actually has chance of still existing in four more years.
