I had a dream where all this Rhetoric from Conservatives against McCain was for the purpose of making the Rats believe that the Republican party was fractured somehow and that their candidate McCain was in a bad spot trying to unite a disillusioned party and yet maintain appeal to the moderates...then in NOV they came together and he won in a landslide victory over the Massiah Obama..

Last night, I had a dream involving Salma Hayek; a pair of handcuffs; and leather breakaway nurse's outfit.

My dream is going to come true before yours will. ;)

Those aren’t dreams, that’s the crack pipe talkin’. McCain is exactly what the DNC driven media wants him to be- a stalking horse.

Are you sure you’re at the right forum? It’s liberals who frequently call facts that they don’t agree with “rhetoric” rather than taking the time to sort through the cognitive dissonance those facts are causing. McCain, Hillary, Obama...the only significant differences are age and gender, not philosophy, though it looks like Obama has a nicer personality. Can’t vote for any one of them.

Conservatives aren't shooting at McCain, they are shooting back. It only been 6 days since Super Tuesday McCainites. Relax!

You got 9 months for the Democrats to scare Conservatives into supporting McCain. All this hard sell the McCainites have been trying for the last few days does is keep the Primary wounds open and bleeding.

McCain Campaign made a huge mistake trying to scream "Grow up Conservatives".

They are the grown ups here. They are saying "Look you have to earn our votes, you cannot treat us like the Democrats treat the Minority vote, you cannot just assume we will support you"

Having the McCain team wander around screaming "You stupid Conservatives, grow up! You have to support us, the other side is worse" is not going to work. Screaming invective at people is no way to convince them to do anything

Well look at it this way. McCain is banking on winning the “moderates” over. They hate Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter all most as much as he does. Having them say bad things about your guy can only help him.

You know that is probably the most effective argument for McCain I have heard in a while. Don’t tell people “the other side is worse” just ask them to think for themselves.

How are you going to be worse off if McCain wins?

How are you going to be worse off with Hillary or Obama?

Which is the worse result?

I guess we will have to see how the Election campaign unfolds. Right now I just don’t know. However, I suspect the Democrats will end up scaring most Conservatives so bad they end up supporting McCain as the least bad option.

I had a dream where the Reps had a convention and the nominee was someone other than McCain or the Huckster.

At least you realize it was a dream.

The writer of this article is dead right on. McCain has secured the nomination, no doubt. But he is in really deep trouble for the general election.

I am stunned thinking he may have to move to the RIGHT if he wants to win.

I don’t like McCain. Voting for him will take some convincing. He can start by picking a real conservative VEEP. And then move from there back to the wing of the party that matters: the right wing.

It is not from rhetoric

Would you, for instance, be convinced that your god, messiah, higher diety, etc. was not the choice for your prayers (read vote here) but someone else IS the only only choice you can make, even though it appears from everything you know about him to NOT be what your persuaders believe him to be?

I'm not in this to teach Democrats a lesson ... I refuse to accept second rate when I know there is better. The RNC, administration, the DC PUB crowd have not learned a damned thing about who put them where they are. Succumbing to their will yet another time is through, period.
