Eh, if it’s really that tight, why not investigate? Especially if Huckabee’s campaign is willing to pay for an investigation or recount or whatever they do in those caucii. As long as the taxpayers don’t get stuck with the bill, there’s no harm in it.

About time they covered other candidates.

Attaboy, Huckabee. Even though I don’t support Huckabee, if only 200 votes seperate he and McCain he’s doing the right thing.

I live in New York and I think that the Republican "Machine" in NYS actually fixes the voting machines for the primaries. My personal un-favorite was when Buchanan was running and Dimato fixed it so that the candidates were not listed on the voting machines but their Delegates were. Nobody knew what the heck was going on. The elderly voters were very confused. The delegates for Dole were very well known so of course he won.

Is this true? Only a 200 vote spread or 26% to 24%?

There are actually people in this thread who approve of this dirty McCain trick. Tells you what McCain is all about.

I don't care for Huckabee (and I still think he's in collusion with McC), but this doesn't sound right. Until this election cycle, I felt that the GOP (except for Nixon-like moments) was either too honest or too inept to be genuinely criminal.

Caucuses are corrupt, coercive and un-American. They should be banned outright. Whether it is manipulation in WV or WA, or whether it is blackmail of Culinary Worker underlings by Obama-supporting supervisors in Vegas, all votes should be One Man, One Vote, Secret Ballot.
To: Wallaby
Somebody please explain how the voting was stopped? No voting was stopped. Could it be they just slowed down the immediacy of the vote counting process?

I voted in the WA caucus yesterday. After I left I realized that they had counted the ‘sign in sheets’ and reported those results to us rather than the actual count of delegates who were elected by each precinct. I thought it was each precincts elected delegates that would be counted, rather than a counting of every persons personal choice for President whether they were a delegate or not.

200 vote difference with 13% of the votes left uncounted and they stopped the count? That’s not just irresponsible; that’s crazy criminal! I’m sure Esser just did what he thought was best “for the greater good” ... but doesn’t that just typify the liberal point of view that they know what’s best for all the sheeple? I’d demand a recount too. It’s a dirty trick that makes me all the less “Republican”. Anybody here who thinks it’s okay to have their vote skipped, chime in. I, for one, would *want* mine counted. Get ‘em, Mike.
