Obama will get crushed in a general election. Especially with his stance that we never should have waged a war on terrorism.
Therefore I am savoring his victories over the Clintons.

I am savoring his victories over the ClintonsI just like the sound of that. I can't help it. It may be a hollow victory, but it sounds so sweet.

That looks like Al Gore in a skirt.
Anyway, the Clintons got absolutely crushed tonight. 68-32 in one state, 68-31 in another state and something like 55-38 in Louisiana where they got something like 80% of the white vote.
I think the Clintons are about to be toast.

I think the timeline points to:
April or so: Clinton gives up
November: Obama wins the general against McCain/Huck
January: Obama is sworn in
(Insert repeat of Jimmah Carter presidency here)
(Insert, hopefully, repeat of Reagan presidency here)
I really think he’ll sweep to the White House, and prove himself to be a black Jimmah Carter, bungling the economy and generally proving himself ineffective, and ultimately getting himself on the short list of one-term presidents.
Hillary, I’d be more scared of. She knows how to pull strings to make things happen. Obama’s a novice who just happens to be good at getting the public to vote for him. To get an idea of who is good at working behind the political scenes, look the superdelegates. They’re going for Clinton.
To: jan in Colorado
Have you seen who is supporting him? MoveOn.org, The Black Panther Party,Radical Muslims etc. Precisely why a lot of democrat voters will vote for McCain if Obama is the dem choice. I know a woman that wants to vote for Hillary but has already said there was no way in heck she'd vote for Obama.
I think MCCain is the chosen one this time around. Its now or never for him, so I think they set things up for him to get the go ahead.

Clinton getting pummeled is at least some minimal consolation for the last few weeks of political torment for conservatives. The second dose of tears is absolutely delicious - to any sane observer, she is either a huge phony, or is too emotionally weak to be president.

That’s why I suspected that they’d hold anything they have on him until the convention, and then only in the back room.
But the way things are developing, I’m not sure she can wait too much longer before the ground swell becomes a tidal wave.
It will be fun to watch, no matter how it turns out! 8^)

I see it pretty much the same way....with GOP gains in 2010 to blunt the Presidency.

I agree with you - OHB doesn’t stand a chance even against McCain. However, I’ve seen too much of the krintons to rule them out or count them down. I think those who are popping the cork tonight are a little premature.
We shall see what we shall see.

Do you really think she would be his VP? Or even let him, a true rock star and beloved, be her VP? Why in the world would he want to be her VP? And last why would he choose her, the non change old baggage, for his VP when he ran on change?
I have my doubts. They got problems in their cohabitation.

You mean that if B. Hussein Obama wins the nomination he chooses Hillary as his VP? He'd have to be completely insane to do such a thing. I give him less than 6 months before Hillary does an "LBJ vs. Kennedy" on him and he's taking an Arkansas dirt nap.

What’s the true story on that shoe photo? That is without a question congestive heart failure. No question about it.
To: Lakeshark
Personally, I don’t see a reason in the world why he’d want her. But I do see why she’d want him. But, I do believe they made a deal during, or just after, the Las Vegas bruhaha.

We shall see if the superdelegates desert her. If they do, she won’t be the nominee, but an equally dedicated Socialist will be elected President. The American people are drunk on socialism.
