Primary Voters: Vote against McCain! Vote for deadlock! Vote anyone but McCain!
Feb 9, 2008 | Jim Robinson

Folks, there still may be a slim chance to force a deadlocked convention. I'm no election math wizard, but I believe it's still mathematically possible for McCain to NOT receive the requisite number of delegates to win the nomination. But it would require a great turnout of passionate conservative voters in the remaining primary states to accomplish.

The trick would be for all remaining primary conservative voters to vote for their favorite candidate as if he were still in the race. Fred's name is still on the ballot. So is Hunter's and Romney's. Shoot, vote for Huckabee, Paul or even Giuliani if you wish. Anyone but McCain!

None of the others can possibly win, but it's still possible for McCain to lose. Let it go to the convention and force the GOP to publicly fight it out as if its very life depended on it. Because it does.

What do we have to lose? As it stands now, more and more conservatives are declaring their intentions to sit out the general. If McCain is our candidate, looks like Hillary/Obama will be our next president. Don't let it happen. Vote for any GOPer other than McCain!

We’re sending Mitt delegates from North Dakota. I hope they stick to their guns, and blast McCain (figuratively, of course) throughout the convention.

Good luck standing firm in the rest of the states.

Modifying Tagline.

I will not vote for McCain no matter what. Another poster said vote for every Repub except McCain. This will send a powerful message to the country club Repubs.

Thank you. I think they want to sell us out just to be cool inside the Beltway and to appease big business that wants cheap coolie labor. Enough!

Early exit polling per Fox News gives 48% to Huckabee, 45% McCain.

Conservatives who have not voted,
Your remaining primary chance
Can be used to stop McCain
And ruin his would-be end-zone dance!

To a convention fight

Well, that would sure be an interesting form of entertainment, wouldn't it. Again, wonder what that would accomplish other than complete confusion, mayhem, and not much agreement outside of who we don't want. I'll bring the popcorn

Click on the link for the best piece I've read on what happens by selecting the "lesser of two evils." In essence; they ask you to take less this time, next time even less, the time after that less still. FReeper joanie-f nails it.

"Each time we genuine conservatives support one of these turncoats, we define-down the republican party."

McNutty can also run for president of Panama since he was born in Panama.

Panama has no provisions for renouncing citizenship, so he is a Panamanian forever.

Of course, who would want him for president of Panama?

This is an unwise suggestion. I believe that John McCain will inevitably be our nominee.

It's clear that unless McCain has a meltdown so spectacular the media can't ignore it, Hillary or Obama will have no real opposition this election.

Whew, that's scary though. Understand what you mean, and it may just come to that.

Maybe the MSM or a 527 will put out one of his old meltdowns.

You’ve got my “uncommitted” or Alan Keyes vote in Texas, March 4.

(I’m still waffling due to the complaints of discrimination by the Keyes campaign.)

Texas will have the “Uncommitted” option on the ballot. If you vote in the Democrat Primary, you can’t come back to the Republican side for a run off — but most importantly, you can’t vote for your local, county and state candidates and/or your US Representative or Senator Cornyn. Cornyn stood tall during the amnesty debate and has always gone the extra mile to protect life. (Which is why he has opposition.)
