It was a fine speech. He was never my candidate, still isn’t, but...
it was a fine speech.

Huckabee’s Questionable Backer

Mike Huckabee’s presidential campaign rests on support from America’s evangelical community. But as Armen Keteyian reports, his association with a controversial ministry has raised concern.

"Bobby Jindal, the governor of Louisiana, could be the next Ronald Reagan." (638.60 KB pdf file

We need one page of these that are fronts and, one page of these for the backs, that we can print and cut, to fill the prepaid envelopes from the RNC and the ACU.

There will be a price to pay for supporting McCain.

We can vote conservative on Senate and House primary seats, and vote for anyone other than McCain on the Presidential seat, including a democrat in the general election.

Wow, I don’t see how anyone could actually listent to that speech, and not think you might be listening to Reagan reincarnated.

There is just no contest betwen Huckabee and the other repubs at communicating the foundations and benefits of conservatism.

This Fred-head turned Mitt-bot has now enlisted in Huck’s Army. Great speech.

I agree wholeheartedly. That was the best speech I've heard in a long time. Huck is well equipped to effectively speak the conservative case to the nation.

One commentator said of Obama: "It's not the lyrics, it's the music." Huck is great at the music, and had the right lyrics in that speech.

Second great speech I've heard him deliver.
I've yet to see criticism of this man that sounds believeable.

It was a great speech...had it been delivered by a honorable man it would have meant something.

That is the difference with Reagan - Reagan spoke from the heart things he believed in and put into practice. Huckabee may an accomplished politician in the finest Arkansas/Clinton tradition, but I find any attempt to compare Huckabee to the greatest President of my lifetime obscene.

Why do you consider him dishonorable?

What can one say?

Republicans, the MSM, Freepers, America missed out--big time. Great, great speech from a great politician and a great potential leader. But he majored in miracles not math, and believes in choices, not echoes, so his voice will continue to be heard, and what a talented voice for conservatism he is. He will be doing McCain and conservatism a huge service by continueing to make appearances.

He also made a very strong case for the VP slot. McCain should be able to relate to that "choice" rhetoric as well, because he doesn't follow the crowd either. And his power as a speaker could really really fire up the conservative base, and if McCain would adopt the fair tax, man oh man what a combo.

That speech should fire up all conservatives and make them proud to be one. Thanks for posting it. It really made my day.

“and if McCain would adopt the fair tax, man oh man what a combo”

Sorry, but I just don’t see McCain going anywhere near the fair tax. It would just muddy up the waters for his thematic direction he is now going: the supreme importance of the war on terror. Notice how ever since Romney quit, McCain has gone full bore on the WOT. He thinks that is his big trump card on Hillary or Obama. He always thinks he is smarter than everybody else, and I doubt he will change now.

The WOT is the only reason I’d prefer McCain to Hill or Bar

If McCain could keep his cool in a crisis...

He would defend the country...

Hill or Bar would open the door and invite our enemies in for tea and crumpets...
