…..I do not like John McCain.
I like socialist women and the most liberal senator in America less, far less. Our party’s primaries have been hijacked by casual voters, liberals, moderates and even Democrats.
Our Evangelical friends have to shoulder much of the blame for giving us McCain. They have unfairly called Mormonism a cult and now all of us will suffer the consequences …I’m damned mad about this, but I can’t do anything about it. [ McCain] will be elected. America will not select either Democrat over him. Many Hillary hating Democrats will vote for McCain.
..the conservative radio talkers did all they could. They are now the de facto leaders of the conservative movement. …accept facts. Some of them insist McCain can’t win. I very much disagree.
Each conservative has to make a personal decision. We can swing wild in blind anger or carefully think things through. If you are old enough to vote, you are old enough to have been disappointed or you really haven’t lived much of a life. We don’t always get our way. If we jump wrong now, out of anger and frustration, we will insure …putting America, no our own families in danger. The danger of picking wrong at this point is history can not be over stated. …grievances against John McCain are [not] unimportant. They are very important. [but]we seem to be losing the fact that vicious Islamist terrorists want to kill us and will kill us and our children if we have the wrong Commander in Chief. ..a willingness to put aside the importance ..war against terror and make believe a Hillary Clinton or a Barack Obama would keep us safe from further attack is where I step off of the anti- McCain bandwagon. These three people are simply not interchangeable.

Maybe he should be publicly pressed on issues like the “fairness” doctrine. Now is the time, when he’s courting our vote. If we tell him to go screw, he will and he’ll screw us as he’s done before. We can at least put some heat on him and hold out the carrot of support... no?

My, how patriotic of you. By not voting for McCain, you are essentially voting for Obama/Clinton.
Congress is what we need to focus on. Win it back, and the conservatives will pressure McCain into doing what's right. But they will have no influence on Obama/Clinton.
To that I say I will work hard and vote for Conservative congressmen...AND Ive been taking notes.

This is a very sad, telling tale! Like I said earlier, when all the analysis is complete, we will find that John McCain is NOT the real choice of the Republican Party, but the choice of a very few.
And remember, half the states haven’t even voted yet.

I agree with the article. I’ve weighed all the options and I agree that even as bad as McCain is, he is far better than Clinton and especially Obama. But I am going to predict that most Republicans won’t vote or throw away their vote to make a point and we are going to wind up with Obama. I am very afraid.
McCain might be worse.

As many of you know, my administration has demonstrated a willingness to allow those countries that have joined the common family of nations to share in our common committment to provide security to the world stage. I propose we commit to achieving an 80% reduction in the next 18 months. Finally, my fellow Americans, we must strive to end the silly debate about whether mankind is responsible for the changing climate of our planet. With the publication of the definitive work on Global Climate Change by Ambassador Gore and Secretary Moore, there is no longer a debate about the causes of global climate change. Given the alarming and eye-opening projections from their scientific results ... WE MUST ACT NOW or forever condemn this planet to catastrophic events of Koranic proportions. Now that every home in this country has been purged of energy inefficient lighting, we must now move on to more important measures. With the price of oil approaching $200 this week, it is more imperitive than ever that we fund research into alternative energy sources. To assist in this important activity, I am proposing the Help Find The Alternative fund. This special investment in alternative fuel sources will be funded with a small surcharge on profits from Microsoft-Exxon and from a one-time subsequent tax on individual investors who possess shares of Microsoft-Exxon in their 401K plans. [thunderous applause from the Dem side of the isle]
Finally tonight, I want to thank those of my collegues who have played such an important role in restoring our countries shared values. First, Speaker Pelosi and Senate majority leader Reid, without whom we could not have passed any of this sweeping legislation of the past 12 months. [thunderous applause from the Dem side of the isle] Chief Justice Ted Kennedy who was so gracious to step in on short notice when Justice Ginsberg was taken too ill to serve. [thunderous applause from the Dem side of the isle] To the Secretary of Homeland Security Madelene Albright who has done such a great job ensuring our citizens are protected from unfair monitoring of their private lives. [thunderous applause from the Dem side of the isle] To the Secretary of Defense General Wesley Clark. Secretary Clark was solely responsible for the smooth transition of our troops from the battlefield of Iraq to a more humanitarian role of ambassadors of peace in troubled southeast Arizona. President Bill Clinton, whose love and devotion all these years has inspired me to make this historic journey with you ... the American people. Good night ... and god bless our great country. Perhaps the RNC and the GOP leadership should think of that when they shove a liberal RINO down the throats of the party. McCain will receive a thrashing, and the conservatives are not to blame, the McCain wing of the party is to blame.
I don't plan on sitting out any election. I plan on voting for a conservative, so it won't be John McCain. Tough luck if he loses, huh? You should have all thought about that when he was steamrolled over the voters.
We must work to elect real conservatives down the ticket. Staying home is not the answer!!
McCain will be far better for the military, and we have a better chance of getting conservative judges with him—we have ZERO chance of getting them with Hilbama.
God help me, I’ll support McCain if he is indeed our nominee! GG
