Mexican President: Illegals Rescued by Elections

Eying the results so far in the U.S. presidential primary race, Mexican President Felipe Calderon said he is hopeful that the next administration in Washington will usher in reforms that would legalize the status of Mexican immigrants.

“It seems to me that the most radical and anti-immigrant candidates have been left behind and have been put in their place by their own electorate,” Calderon told the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday, the day after the Super Tuesday primaries.

“My hope is that whoever the next president is, and whoever is in the new Congress, will have a broader and more comprehensive view” of the immigration problem.

Calderon said he took heart from the Super Tuesday results, but did not mention specific candidates, the Times reported.

Calderon is about to embark on a 5-day U.S. trip that will end in California, where he is scheduled to meet with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and migrant groups.

Calderon said one goal of his U.S. trip would be to generate support for immigration reform that would permit millions of Mexican to work in the U.S.

He also told the Times that Americans would “sooner or later” come to understand that the health of the American economy is linked to integration with Mexico and “greater freedom in labor markets.”

No legal binding contracts. We need to take the House and Senate back and handcuff whoever gets elected so they can’t pass any legislation.

ONLY if conservatives are elected to congress. And the amnesty bill is brought up before an election. I still think Republicans in congress will be more likely to oppose liberal legislation from a Dem than from a Republican president. McCain will be threatening and pushing them to vote for it. And I’m sure he’ll be much more menacing than W and Rove were!

Mexican President: Illegals Rescued by Elections.....

I think McCain will be positively nasty about it, and IMO that’s a good thing. When he throws a tantrum because he can’t have amnesty, he’ll paint a different picture of the amnesty supporting crowd. And when he tries to hurt members of the party who oppose amnesty, they’ll fight back if McCain gets nasty.

It could be interesting.

"He also told the Times that Americans would “sooner or later” come to understand that the health of the American economy is linked to integration with Mexico and “greater freedom in labor markets.”

This propagandist for American Dollars continuing to flow to Mexico from his aliens illegally living and working here is what he is concerned about NOT the health of the American economy!

The "health" of the American economy could only be better without them, regardless what the Open Borders crowd claim. They are all liars, each and every one and usually they are all aware of their lies but the matter because of the $$$$$$$$$$$.

Never forget the mantra of Watergate, "Follow the Money."

If you are WASP you need to find you another country, you should at least receive a thank you note from John McCain before he turns America over to Mexico but, don’t wait, just leave.
A real sad day in my life!

The fence is dead! Conservatives will NEVER VOTE FOR JOHN McCAIN
HILLARY CLINTON WILL BE THE FINAL STRAW BEFORE THE USA GOES TO HADES IN A HANDBASKET

In other words, Calderon doesn’t want his citizens back. Just their US $$$$, but not them.

Our best bet is lots of conservatives in congress and a Dem in the WH that they would oppose.

What you said.

but it does not take much understanding to see exactly what our wonderful NAFTA has done. In addition, it is the policies of the Mexican government that have caused the US to have to support 35 million mexicans and Felipe Calderon has every intention of keeping that ball rolling. Short of Iran, Felipe Calderon is the biggest enemy of the United States right now and John McCain is his amnesty butt-boy.

All true. Mexico is near the top of our enemies list
Between Muslim loony tune arrogance and Mexican loony tune arrogance it's hard to tell the difference sometimes
The Spanish caudillos of Mexico are promoting an Indian and Mestizo invasion of the US
And no one should accuse me of racism for stating the truth
Mexicans here in USA are far more racist than whites. Whites vote for Obama and Mexicans/Hispanics rarely do

Two things: (1)He doesn’t want to accept responsibility for adopting and executing policies and practices that will improve employment opportunities in Mexico; and (2) Reconquista!

Looks like the same article. How would Mexican illegals need rescuing? Are they being held hostage?

Don't be depressed my friend. No one, except the Lord, knows what tomorrow brings.

The primary elections aren't over, McCain doesn't yet have it even though he and all punditry pretend he does.

He must get all of those delegates to qualify BEFORE he gets the nod or it goes to an Open Convention with nominations from the floor!!!!

Even should disheartened conservatives refuse to go to the remaining (and VERY important) Caucuses and Primaries, NcCain will get it due to those who are energetic to vote for him -- hang in their and if your state has NOT had a vote, hang in there and vote for someone else on the slate.

Lastly, again, we never know what tomorrow brings, who will win a primary, a general election, etc. The good people in TN and elsewhere thought they had tomorrow locked up but now they are no longer alive to live out their plans or contend with their many worries.

Stay optimistic, time changes everything.

McAmnesty has his latest endorsement. Doesn’t matter. Now that he is the de facto nominee the mainstream media feeding frenzy will begin.

As if we have a lot of control over that!
