I can see dummies not knowing who Romney, McCain and Huckabee are. But for people to not reconize Hillary, they must be living under a rock, or haven’t owned a tv since the late 80’s.

Jay Leno’s “Jaywalking” segments always feature the biggest dumbasses in the State of California.
In past years, the clueless people he spoke with thought that the Civil War was fought in the 1940’s, thought the Pilgrims came from either Spain or Mexico, and couldn’t name the Vice President of the United States.
No wonder so many moonbat democrats get elected in the People’s Republic of California.
I saw that, really scary and shameful.

When you say "NO ONE KNEW" you are apparently unaware that "NO ONE" is actually a small handful of people specifically singled out out of hundreds of random interviewees.
Those who do not understand the federal budget or how it works should refrain from commenting on it.
My father used to tell me that Americans were smart UNTIL “jaywalking” and “man on the street” questions by Letterman happened!! OMG!!! He was ASTOUNDED at people’s STUPIDITY!! It really upset him at the IGNORANCE in this country.

Sean Hannity’s producer does a similar segment stopping people near Madison Square Garden to similar results. No editing other than those willing to talk on the cell phone.

Insofar as the President has no control over the vast majority of the federal budget, the size of the federal budget cannot be laid at his feet.
It's the equivalent of saying that Congress is doing a good job in Iraq with its surge strategy.
Such people are a self-selecting group - and there is plenty of production selectivity going on as well.
There are plenty of uninformed people out there, no question.
But these entertainment segments are not truly representative of the public.
I know I would never agree to appear on camera for Leno or on radio for Hannity.
If you haven't already, get this book: the Deliberate Dumbing Down of America by Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt. It should be required reading for anyone of voting age. It's a real eye opener and shows how the gubmint has systematically dumbed down the population since the 1930's.
