I just got an automated call from RINO ex-Governor Pete Wilson to tell Californians how tough John McCain would be ON OUR NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY.
Oops.
CORRECTION. What he *actually* said was how tough John McCain would be on illegal alien issues....
And I hung up the phone in scoffing disbelief.
WE THE PEOPLE have from now until November to find and boost another GOP candidate regardless of the outcome of this senselessly-FRENETIC primary.
I'm not taking any candidate's polling spin as fait accompli until the fat thighed lady sings a concession speech. Slow and steady, no need for panic.

This is a telling comment on Human Events.

That would be because he is termed out. He served all the terms as governor the law allows. Pete was not bad as a governor for CA. He was NOT a collaborator with Dems at the time. I recall that he shut down the state government by vetoing Dem budgets. State employees had to be paid with special “warrants”. The unions HATED him. Still do. Pete may not have been the ultimate in conservatism, but he was about as good as we’ve had here in CA since RR. Wasn’t a bad mayor of San Diego, either.

I got three calls from McCain’s robo wife and one from Mitt today. If I get one more robo call I’m gonna go all Lawnmowerman and kick some robo butt through the telephone line.

I thought Wilson retired after two terms as governor. I think the claim that it made the Republicans look like “xenophobes” is inaccurate considering that when we finally elected another “Republican” it was based in large part on his opposition to Drivers Licenses for illegals.
A RINO (or Republican in name only) is a conservative that still clings to the pathetic hope that the Republican Party represents them. It’s gone Lib-lite. It no longer represents us, making us conservatives the real RINO’s.
***Ouch. The truth hurts. Maybe we should call ourselves platformists because we believe in the platform and RINOs don’t. Actually, on Free Republic, most of the time people say RINO they mean CINO.
I’ll bet you get flamed for that one, but if the shoe fits...
