Insanity on FR (Vanity)
2/2/08 | tomnbeverly

The Insanity that has taken over on this forum, when it comes to the potential GOP nominees, is bordering on Psychotic.

1. John McCain and Mitt Romney are both good and decent men.

2. Either one being the GOP nominee is a far cry better then the Surrender Monkeys on the other side.

I only ask that we do not stray into that Liberal arena of Personal destruction. I have listened to Sean and Rush and I blame them for engaging this tactic in our party.

We should never have to tear one candidates record down to promote the other. For that reason alone Ronald Reagan would be turning over in his grave.

Thats not what I was talking about.. .I agree about record review and discussion..

The point is people here are name calling, attacking Romeny for his Religion.. and calling McCain insane... Why?

Are both their records so indistinguishable that neither can stand on them? Are people so wrapped up in their candidate that the other must be hammered?

Like I said I been on here for years but never saw the venom used against McCain as I have in the past month.. ever since Sean and Rush started in on him...

The Problem we have is with all the tearing down its gonna be near impossible to unite after Tuesday... or whenever the nomniee is confirmed...

The DEMS voting as independents/Repubs or in the open primaries have given us McInsane as the Repub candidate. That is the ONLY explanation for his lead. That and his embrace by the MSM. We have been duped. It was an effective plan and, as usual, the GOP didn’t know what hit it.

McCain will lose to either Dem “candidate” - but the plan was formulated by the Clinton machine. So, there is no doubt it will be Her Heinous as the Dem “nominee”.

What to do? Someone posted on another thread. Work our hearts out for conservative candidates or against liberals all over the country.

The Dems think THEY HAVE DESTROYED US. Maybe they have. But I am not going down without a fight. Since I can’t fight them for the Presidency, I will fight them for other candidates across the country, worthy conservatives.

That’s the only thing left to do, IMHO. That, and pray like our country depended on it - because it does. There is a God in heaven. Read the book of Daniel. Hillary thinks SHE is the power in control. But HEAVEN RULES!

“Lemming.”

You post a vanity calling for politeness and restraint and then respond to a poster with a personal attack. Pot, meet kettle.

Romney is young enough and healthy enough to make it a foregone conclusion that if elected he will run again in '12. He will know that he owes his presence in the WH to the support of the conservative wing of the party.

And you don't have to be Captain Obvious to know that neither of the above applies to McQueeg.

So why is Cheny allowed near it?

Do you believe Cheney doesn’t exhibit every personality trait you assigned to John McCain?

John McCain .......are both good and decent men.

Stopped reading right there.

In his personal life McCain may be a fine fellow. The guy who is nice in the grocery line who lets you cut in because you have only two items or the grandfather type who over indulgences his grand children. His sons are fine citizens serving in our military.

The politician John McCain is a back stabbing, nasty mean tempered unfit to command who left whatever credentials as a conservative at the steps of McCain - Feingold, McCain - Kennedy, McCain - Lieberman

Call me "Psychotic" but I'm not voting for the man.

Until (or unless) Mitt Romney drops out of the race, I will continue to support his candidacy here. He is magnitudes better than McCain across the board and the GOP's best hope to defeat the Democrats in November.

Should McCain get the nomination (and I refuse to concede at this time that it is inevitable), well, I'll cross that bridge when I get there regarding whether or not I can support him in November.

It's still a 4 person race ~ Super Tuesday hasn't happened yet and there you are believing in polls again.

Put not your faith in polls ~

Anything but a direct vote for the for the republican nominee is a vote FOR the dems.
The nominee may not have the Purity of Essence you desire, so you are going to push for the doomsday scenario.
A far thinking plan¿?

Surrendering the country to illegal invaders is still a surrender.

Hillobama is not the end of life as we know it. Nothing gets done in Washington without 60 votes in the Senate.

What if it gets 60 votes? That could happen if all the conservatives stay home.

BTW, McCain supports speech control. Ergo, everything that's a public issue is "off the table" lest he sick his FEC on you and bankrupt you.

We have to have a candidate who is pledged to repeal McCain/Feingold.

I concur wholeheartedly with your comments tomnbeverly. McCain is not my first choice, neither is Romney for that matter, but either one of them would stand head and sholders above Clinton or Obama.

McCain will pick a strong conservative for the bottom of his ticket, and perhaps that may relieve some of the angst amongst republicans that find McCain too liberal.

Either way, I will not repeat the same mistake I made in 92 by voting third party, for I am responsible for Slick Willy as a result of that protest vote. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I have thought about this dilemma a lot, and my personal choice is that if McCain is the nominee against Clinton or Obama, I will hold my nose and vote McCain.

I am not doubting the truth about McCain, he is not my choice, but the prospect of either of the Dems being elected with Dem Congress at this time is UNTHINKABLE.

McCain is someone ostensibly on our side who went wrong. Clinton and Obama are sworn socialist enemies, with 8 years of hateful revenge to take on America.

It's not right to vote for someone you know is wrong, but the path of least damage to America is to keep the Dems out of power. Do you want to see Obama sitting down to lamb with the world Muslim leaders and apologizing for our behavior? Or Hillary sending Bill to apologize to Europe? I can't be the one vote that might allow that to happen. Just my humble opinion.

Nice try to get us to jump on the McCain bandwagon but, Johm McCain has done everything in his power my friend to make himself look good and to make republicans (and Pres. Bus) look bad for the past 8 years. Maybe he still has hurt feelings over the 2000 election but that just proves he is unfit for command if he carries a grudge for this long.

I just may join the Ron Paul Ann Coulter Revoultion. I haven't left the Republican Party but they are leaving me behind.
