Welcome back, Johnnie!
Good morning txflake. No tv at work, but I have other things I am trying to finish today.
Who then went AWOL during the Clinton Administration. Do they really think we are this dumb? That we will buy the notion that the McCain of the 1980s will magically replace the McCain of the last 10 years once he wins the WH? Can anyone name for me 3 people who have moved to the political right after winning the WH in the last 70 years?
Seems Huffington Post had a thread about Bennett not disclosing his GOP donations ... stupid argument if you ask me considering he's a Republican analyst on CNN ... I wouldn't expect Donna Brazile would be donating to the GOP
Here's the thread
FundRace: CNN's Bill Bennett Never Disclosed GOP Donations
Anyhow .. it mentions that Bennett has given the max to McCain ... though he claims to be neutral in the GOP race
In response .. through CNN, Bennett's response was that he also gave to Romney's campaign, though didn't mention a $ amount
Gonna be in the low 80s today! Big BBQ at my sisters at the lake, gonna get my tan ON!
Vrs McCain's record.
Fathered the Gang of 14 Compormise to avoid having to fight with the Democrats to get strict Consitution judges approved by the US Senate.
Hillary and McCain are virtually the same,... they have the same authoritraian big Govt mindset
Point.
It’s nice that they threw Romney in there somewhere.
Not based on his political record.
Heh.
Just last week the fine, even-tempered McCain made a spectacular gaffe although, for the time being, it went under the radar.
but McCain referred to a bunch of journalists, with his patented death-grin smirk, as a "bunch of jerks". He then let out a death-rattle laugh and many of the pundits were left speechless.
Do any of you know someone like this? someone who makes some kind of completely irreverent, totally humorless, joke as a vehicle to get across a feeling or personal sentiment that's perhaps small and childish but with a notion that if said as if a joke then it will be okay?
Okay, I'll give an example. I've got a brother-in-law, nastiest person on the planet next to John McCain. This man is so jealous of me and I'm not proud of this. He's only jealous of me because I've got a personality, a sense of humor, and most times folks generally like me. Which is not to say I can't grow old and at times with my passions, might suck the oxygen out of a room. I'm not tooting my own horn here; it is what it is and anyway this is about my fine, small and boring BIL.
So one day we're at a party and we're talking politics. All I can tell you is this guy NEVER reads anything so how much you gonna know if you don't read? Me and a bunch of folks are sitting around talking, all laffing, having a good time. I wasn't the only one talking is what I'm saying here but go with me, fine BIL had nothing to add to the conversation as this man knows nothing. Which is fine because there's lots of things I don't know about but most intelligent people keep their mouths shut and by the act of LISTENING, actually learn a thing or two.
So BIL grabs a piece of cake and comes over and SHOVES it into my mouth. then he laughs, a laugh much like the fine, even-tempered John McCain, like hey, it was only a joke, and everyone else in the surround, smiles, giggles, kind of awkwardly and with embarrassment, as you might imagine. Because what this fine man did was totally unacceptable and everyone knew it. His temper and jealousy got the best of him. But I, who have some class, laffed along but I had his number. Small, mean people tend to make life dreary. Once I got out of that house I NEVER put myself in his presence again and he knows it.
THAT's how John McCain does. He's got a temper and does not know how to behave. His calling a group of political pundits, those folks who keep him in the news, a "bunch of jerks" was McCain's loss of temper then his attempt to make it as if it was just a joke. I can't see this fellow sitting at tables and talking to foreign heads of government. He's liable to stuff their mouths with cake.
Back atcha! BTW, to those who say they would vote for Hillary over McCain - may I just remind that we would have major damage, with a Dem in control of Administrative and Legislative branches of gov’mint for awhile. Hold noses and vote is the way to go, imo.
given that Fox News has surrendered to the left and is spinning only postive rino news stories. (ie ommitting the Maine caucus before it happened and only reporting his landslide as an afterthought and then only in context of push polls)
CNN has a GOLDEN opportunity.
Playing Rush Limbaugh works because they have no conservative talent at CNN so they have to outsource. (who wants to bet they called their foreign desk first to see how to get a hold of limbaugh)
Mitt on CNN now!
Maybe so, but the news is that the outcome was a personal, in-your-face "we don't think so" to the wishes of the status quo Northeast Liberal Republicans.
How about the dramatic lighting on the Bitch’s face this morning on Fox? I guess Fox is now allowing the candidates to do their own stage management.....
Have fun. I am at drill today. We may get out early for the super bowl, but nothing official yet.
That sounds like George Romney claiming he was "brainwashed" on Vietnam (back in 1968) - lost him the nomination. If Hillary can be brainwashed by a rube cowboy like W. how will she make out against the crafty Iranians, North Koreans, and other assorted hornswogglers?
Carville needs to do better than that.
The fix is in folks.
McCain tough reputation on National Security issues is a complete media fabrication that has no base in fact.
