Absolutely. McCain’s plan, depending on when you heard him speak was either 250,000 American boots on the ground and a total Americanization of the war or the his Baker Commission plan which was to surrender Iraq to Syria and Iran so we could quietly sling away with our tail between our legs.

McCain tough reputation on National Security issues is a complete media fabrication that has no base in fact.

Preach on, Brother! I'm so tired of McCain's UNCHALLENGED horn-tooting on the surge. It was NEVER the McCain Surge. He didn't propose the right numbers, or any of the tactics.

What I would give to see someone ask him, "You said we needed 250K troops on the ground - GWB made it happen with far fewer. Doesn't that imply GWB has a better understanding of strategy and the GWOT than you do?"

His noggin would explode!
