Other than George W. Bush, name one, JUST ONE, president in the last 100 years who claimed to be a blood-bought, born-again believer in Jesus Christ.

Mitt Romney may not be considered a Christian by those of us who go by The Book and recognize Mormonism as a cult led by a false prophet, but Mitt Romney’s demeanor and comportment in this presidential primary cycle has been above reproach.

Romney is, by my observation, more Godly than those, even some of us on this board, professing to be Christians!

One wife, five children, honest and successful in business, the least arrogant of all those running, less arrogant, I daresay than most of us on this board!

Jimmy Carter.

..Carter, too, was successful in business (peanut farmer), like Mitt a governor, had three children, one wife, and promised "never to lie"...how'd you like the way he turned out?

BTW, a lot of people who have met Mitt claim that he is indeed arrogant and, most assuredly, Carter was!

Most GOP govs shun Romney

"There are plenty of reasons that might explain the former Massachusetts governor’s surprisingly weak support among his former colleagues. But one of them stands out: He appears to have inadvertently alienated a good many of his fellow governors as RGA chairman.

“Right or wrong, the general impression was that he spent way too much time on himself and building his presidential organization,” said a top Republican strategist who has worked closely with the RGA in recent years. “I don’t think anyone ever questioned Romney’s commitment to the organization or the work he put in. They questioned his goals or his motives. Was it to elect Republican governors, or to tee up his presidential campaign?”

Absolutely correct.

Yes, cultists are tricky that way.

One wife, five children,

That we know of.

I agree. Mitt Romney has been running a campaign with class. No mean, nasty attacks. Just fighting above board on the stands others take on the issues. I respect Romney and sorry I can not say the same for McCain or Huckabee.

“Mitt Romney’s demeanor and comportment in this presidential primary cycle has been above reproach.”

Does your view of that include his use of people posing
as policemen, using fake officers badges to badger people?

Does it include Mitt’s statement to his staff to “promise
whatever it takes”?
