There is most definitely one place in school where blessings need be brought back. And that is at lunch. It is at lunch that the modern public school student body lowers to the most feral. Ask any post-lunch teacher. Ask any adult on lunch room duty.
The kids need to learn how to eat in peace and good order. To wash up beforehand and settle into a *meal* -- not a gobbled snack -- with a blessing. At when done, to leave the table and floor clean -- and not some mess for "others" to clean, or worse -- to have to eat within, in those schools where there are multiple lunches.

Thank you so much for the truth. Time Will tell if there is enough conservative leaders left to stand up & lead or if our time is gone. Thanks again for expressing our thoughts

"Vanities" are often not worth reading, but this effort is superb.
Some people already are looking beyond this final demolition of the political process to what comes next. We inherited a republican system of government that was laboriously built over centuries of Western civilization. It has mostly accommodated the conflicting interests of all factions of Americans and allowed us to manage our affairs without political violence. Now, some of our best people are quietly putting their faith in that system aside. I fear for my children and grandchildren. Whatever happens, we are headed for cruel times.

Awesome post which beautifully articulates the feelings of so many of us. Thank you.
What a shame that liberals march & riot, while conservatives work so they can afford to....If McCain wins the nomination I would love nothing better than to participate in a large demonstration at the Republican convention.
As it is, I may simply mail my pitchfork to it.

"The perfect storm of American politics is converging in a bid to elect one of three horrible candidates, McCain, Obama, or Clinton, to be our next President."
There is a second political perfect storm brewing. The elite establishment, Democrat and Republican alike, are working together fervently, like close friends, to hold it at bay until after the November elections. It is this second storm they fear, for it is this second storm that would pit the now presumed candidates against the American people.
That second perfect political storm is economic. The timing, scope, and near ideal harmony between Democrats and Republicans on passing a economic stimulus package is less about saving the nation from a recession, and more about saving the two political parties. The deeper the recession, the greater the threat posed the two parties.
If the recession comes swiftly, and runs deep with large layoffs, Americans will do exactly as they have in the worst economic times of our nation, and peoples everywhere in history faced with such times. They will first see the "outsiders" as a cause. The outsiders will be immigrants, and among these, the illegal immigrants will be seen as the most detestable.
If the proposed economic stimulus package does not hold the second storm at bay, and if indeed, the Democratic and Republican candidates are as you have mentioned, the American people will rail against both parties as those presumed candidates from both parties hold pro-amnesty positions for illegal aliens.
Time looms short for the two parties to implement an economic stimulus package that might show signs of an economic upswing before the November elections. If they fail, Americans will extract a heavy toll and illegal aliens will be pushed from our lands. And the deeper the hardships of a recession, the faster and harder Americans will push to see the illegal aliens gone, along with their supporters.

Well said - great post. I feel the same, although I didn’t arrive until 1972 and the cultural erosion was well under way; the incense, patchouli & other herbal essences were thick in my home growing up.

Excellent piece, though I have a quibble or two with it.
The bottom line: Vote ROMNEY on Tuesday and in future GOP primaries!

Reading about John McCain’s little get together with Hispanics in Chicago on Wednesday night, wherein he once again raised the spectre of comprehensive immigration reform, along with an amnesty and a non fence, I thought of this ditty from four and one half months ago.
McCain was the wrong candidate then, and he is certainly the wrong candidate now.
We need a new horse by September for this race.
GOP? Buehler? Anyone?.......
