"has taken far more conservative positions on things like illegal immigration and taxes and is now pro-life."

Why is a pandering, lying, liberal jerk like Mitt fooling people like yourself? He is full of crap. Why is this so hard to accept? Have people really lost the ability to spot a fake? He is a fake conservative. So we should support a guy who is saying all the things that you need to hear?

Mitt has no true convictions, no moral compass. I have seen with my own two eyes this guy pushing himself off left of TED Kennedy. And now he is the new Reagan.

Are you folks that easily fooled? I guess so. You fools really scare the pants off of me. Foolish Fools.

Fool me once Fool me twice I beleive Mitt is the Real deal? PLEASE!

You just revealed that you don’t understand the first thing about McCain-Feingold or what it does. And never mind that McCain initiated the bill, unprovoked, with a republican majority and no pressure whatsoever. It’s no worse than Mitt’s weak-kneed acquiescence to the dominant left during his tenure in Massachusetts. To put them on the same level, as though they were equal crimes, says it all.

You don’t get it. You’ve never read the bill or any meaningful analysis of it. You don’t know how it’s already been used to silence conservative activism. You don’t have any clue what it means the First Amendment, or what the First Amendment means to our country. That’s why you don’t have any problem with it. That’s why you never talk about it.

Wait until Free Republic is gone. Then maybe you will.

Actually no there isnt... MCcain is ahead in what 19 of the 22 states? If he takes all the winner takes all states (minus GA going to Huk).. its OVER.. Romney is only going to wanna waste so much pocket money. Short of MCcain walking down the street and getting hit by a bus, your looking at our candidate.

Nope. I state facts. The only ones rationalizing around here are those rechristening Romney as the great Conservative hope. That’s mass hysteria and pig-ignorant blindness.

However, we're stuck with the five or six master baiters who hate Romney, but are enjoying getting a rise out of us Mitt supporters as they descend upon thread after thread like a bee swarm to spam them with their garbage... They can't start a "support McCain" thread because it will never get off the ground. Even "bumps" wouldn't save it. The posters wouldn't even be enough to fill a rubber room.

Well, to be fair, at least some of them are self-declared Ron Paul supporters. Funny thing, though, I didn't see a single post from any of them on the MTV LIVE debate thread that's in the breaking news sidebar. Ron Paul was one of only four participants, too. I guess they weren't interersted in watching their candidate debate. Yet, they were online the whole time, camped out on this thread. Hard to know what to make of that...either it's not true that they're supporting Ron Paul, or it's more fun for them to bash Romney supporters than to support their own guy, or they don't like to be on Paul-centric threads because too many FReepers make fun of them.

At any rate, I agree with your characterization and your suggestion to ignore.

You may be right but there is more going on than that simple MSM view. We are going to have real Republicans voting in many of these primaries. Romney has a very good chance. I think this could go to a brokered convention.

Will vote for Romney. Some posters call other posters denigrating, spiteful words. I would expect that from Democrats against us, but it’s hurtful to see it between our own kind on these threads.

Perhaps we should take a lesson from the famous dog trainer. He says if you raise your voice excitedly to your dog, it makes him just that much more excited into, finally, an agressive state. Works the same between the dogs. An excited dog makes another dog excited and they’ll finally go after each other.

I think we need calm puppies around here.

I doubt it.. for the good of the party vs Hillary one will back down before then.. its not like a brokered convention is a good thing.. makes us look like complete crap. In the end they are going to want someone to rally behind even if it is MCcain.

If you ignore them, they will probably get bored and look somewhere else to feed their little egos.
