Well I’d hate to think it’s about his religion. In this day and age it’s unthinkable that would be a reason not to vote for him but sadly you’re probably right.

"most of us know Romney isn't probably the most conservative egg in the basket. That's why we went with Hunter, Tancredo, and Thompson at first, at least I did. You're simply missing the point that it's now Romney or McCain and on that Romney has taken far more conservative positions on things like illegal immigration and taxes and is now pro-life.

You want to go there, hun ? I pointed out to you blind sycophants that she was damaged goods for the general election and you perpetually insisted somebody that HALF the Republican party had an unfavorable approval of was somehow going to win statewide against a sitting incumbent (in what turned out to be one of the worst Republican year ever). You berated me and all those that dared to point out facts for months on end with some of the sleaziest, vile hateful attacks from right out of the gutter. All for telling the truth. And look who was right in the end. She lost in a massive landslide all because you people opposed putting up a VIABLE Republican. Had Jeb run, he’d be the 50th Republican Senator today. Nope, you had to run a loser. I see you’re going 2 for 2 backing another loser.

You’re missing it again, he’s not a Conservative at all. That’s the whole point.

I didn’t say he’s supporting McCain. I said he’s going out of his way to not attack him, focusing entirely on his chief opponent. It’s inconceivable to me that any conservative could ignore McCain’s abominable, disgraceful record to the extent that this guy has.

Are you the enforcer of political correctness ? I have already stated Romney is worse than McCain. McCain is brain cancer, Romney is AIDS. Ya dig ?

Nobody who knows Romney will ever accuse him of being decent. He’s not even a decent liar.

Just go with the flow.....we're winning and it's a great night. The depressed Paulestinians and Libertarians (usually one and the same) are emulating their raging idol tonight in cascades of contrarian rhetoric.

Or as Shakespeare put it in "Macbeth"......"tales told by idiots, full of sound and fury, and signifying nothing".

Sorry you dislike the truth being posted on threads. That sounds more like YOUR problem, not mine.

I don’t find Romney to be a decent man as he appears to be more of someone who will do or say anything to get a vote, and then, like John Kerry, changes it next go ‘round if it didn’t work out. For the record, I find nothing decent about John Kerry, either, for the same reason.

It is you who thinks that defending the indefensible is somehow a good quality to have or respect in others. It isn’t, regardless of how often you and those like you do so.

And also for the record, neither I nor anyone else needs or seeks your permission on which threads to post, with what frequency, or on which candidates, regardless of the fact that I, and many of us, have posted information on numerous threads regarding ALL the Rinos.

Lay it out there. Show me one thing Romney has done that’s even close to being on par with McCain-Feingold. Just one.

Realistically, there are only two people in this race - one appointed Juan Hernandez as his hispanic outreach advisor, the other Kris Kobach to his advisory staff.

Enough said. I'll hold my nose & vote for the latter.

Governor Mitt Romney on Victory in Maine
Yahoo News ^ | Feb 2,2001

Posted on 02/02/2008 5:56:16 PM PST by AmericanMade1776

Throughout the state of Maine, people have gathered at their local caucus site over the last two days and cast their vote for conservative change in Washington. With only a few caucus sites left to report tomorrow, Governor Romney issued the following statement concerning his victory in Maine:

“Today, the people of Maine joined those from across the nation in casting their vote for conservative change in Washington. All across the state, men and women gathered to help chart the future course of our country. Tonight, they have made their voice known and have endorsed our conservative vision for a stronger America. Like many Americans, the people of Maine are tired of Washington promises made but broken.

“The need for change in Washington is even more apparent today. With our economy facing uncertain times, we need a leader who actually understands how the economy works and how jobs are created. We also need a leader from outside of Washington who is ready to meet the long-term challenges facing our country. With a career spent working in the economy, creating jobs, turning around faltering institutions and imposing fiscal discipline, I am ready to bring conservative change to Washington. In this campaign, I am proud to have the support of the people of Maine.”

No, I don’t dig. If McCain is brain-cancer, explain why you’re reserving all your fire for Romney.
