Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, had 59% of the vote with 3% of the towns holding caucuses reporting. Ron Paul trailed with 19%, John McCain had 18%, and Mike Huckabee and undecided votes each had about 2%.

I would not say he is for McCain - he is just pissed off that the Conservatives are done for this election cycle (unless you count Alan Keyes).
Romney: 52%
McAmnesty: 22%
Doesn't look like CNN has "called it" for Romney yet. What a shock.
What is your recommendation to those who consider this issue the signal issue of the campaign?
What part of “I’m not supporting McCain” do you continually fail to comprehend ?
They’ll do it sometime around 3 AM EST.
Bingo.
Didn't your smarmy, odious attacks against her both politically and personally earn you a reprimand from the Moderator with an order to "knock it off"?
Spin that.

I sympathize with you. I was also a Fred supporter and was incredibly shocked at his lack of effort/organization and late entry. He would have destroyed Hillary or Obama. If anything, this cycle tells us that our nominating process is flawed. Hell, in Texas I may not even get to decide on the nominee. Maybe I’ll vote for Obama just for the heck of it.
Who do you recommend?
Romney always opposed gay marriage, even back in 1994. But if you want to believe some blog over the truth, go right ahead. Convenient for you that it supports your opinion.
BTW, the term “reported” used to mean “told facts about”.
In the real world, in 2002 Romney was faulted for not supporting a constitutional amendment, because he said there was no way the court would legitimize same-sex marriage.
When they did, he immediately worked to pass the constitutional amendment, only to be stopped by the democrats. He even supported candidates to help him, who were rejected by the voters.
But you can believe the fantasy that all that work was some smokescreen, and that Romney’s position in 1994 was simply a ruse to help him win the Presidency in 2008..
Dude, read the posts, most of us know Romney isn't probably the most conservative egg in the basket. That's why we went with Hunter, Tancredo, and Thompson at first, at least I did. You're simply missing the point that it's now Romney or McCain and on that Romney has taken far more conservative positions on things like illegal immigration and taxes and is now pro-life.
There's no hope for McCain, he doesn't even want us around and the only reason he'd even consider picking Thompson as his VP is to dupe people into getting their votes. The whole "he's better on the war on terror" are nothing but slick talking points.
Can you please show where Romney supported the Amnesty Bill?
I suspect a lot of it is about Romney’s Mormonism, they’re just not willing to say it.
There’s no logical, legitimate reason to support McCain over anyone. He’s the worst of the worst, by a lot. There has to be something else at work here. Something blinding and wholly irrational.
Plus, I'm having a little fun with all the Libertinians infesting this thread tonight.
However, I'm grabbing a bite to eat in a minute.
BTW, see my #488.

The part where you only mention his name when confronted on it, while continuously choosing to attack Romney and only Romney.
Throwing a token “I’m not supporting McCain” out there every 50 posts isn’t exactly convincing.
There are more sources confirming this information than the blog, which has links to audio tapes....tapes which contain interview information on the air, which tapes were transcribed by the blog in question.
There are other news articles reporting the same or similar information. I have read them.
And now, all that others have to do is read them as well. Now that they are aware of information, they can do their own research, as I have, and come to their own conclusions, as I have, as to the truth of the matter. Not just take YOUR word for it....or Romney’s, for that matter. The facts are in print which contradict your and his words. That is inconvenient to both of you...and, yes, true facts are “convenient” for truth seekers.
McCain 889 21% 0
Paul 782 19% 0
Huckabee 235 6% 0
Undecided 76 2% 0
Thompson 3 0% 0
Giuliani 2 0% 0
Hunter 0 0% 0
Good, Drudge is reporting McCain has already assumed hes the nominee.
No, people are just sick and appalled that some people on the forum are on such a destructive maniacle quest to besmirch one decent man like Romney.
If you were spreading your hate among all candidates you don't like, it would be more understandable.
You simply repeat the same baloney over and over and over... like if you claim it enough, people will suddenly believe you.
It ain't happening. Not on FR, anyway.
Romney has more support than ever among freepers.
