You discount Santorum, but he’s in good company when it comes to Mitt’s immigration position, for example. Romney also has Tancredo, Sheriff Arpaio and Kris Kobach.

McCain has Juan Hernandez (La Raza). Huck has...well, gee, I don’t really know other than he had Jim Gilchrist who later backpedaled his endorsement.

The only thing I ask of the purists is that they treat McCain and Romney (and Huckabee, for that matter) with equal disdain.

That's the thing: I am against each of them. Because Tancredo and Hunter have left the race, I am supporting Ron Paul, because I think he is the most conservative one left in the race. Having said that, there are things I am able to ADMIT that I am not thrilled about with him. This is quite unlike the RINO supporters who seem to be castrate about every single thing about their chosen candidate and willfully "forget" and "dismiss" their candidate's flip-flopping, or historical positions, or historical agendas, stances, alliances, etc., etc., etc. I find that antithetical to the very nature of what a conservative is supposed to be about: sound reasoning for a choice and ability to discuss areas of legitimate concern rather than blatant defense of the indefensible.

We’re talking about the spam-crazy bots who are overwhelming this site and distorting its voice.

I believe, unfortunately, that there are far too many who fit that description, per my previous paragraph.

They’re all awful, that’s the point. But Romney as the best ? Nope. Hell, even Doctor Demento is better than this guy.

If that is what it takes. Any vote for McCain rewards the rino’s and the establishment republicans for very bad behavior. They will ruin the party and the country. Why let the party take the blame for it? I will take two years of Hillary and let her have the blame. If McCain gets the nomination there should be a conservative to run as a third party candidate- he could win this one. But, the powder puff party does not seem to have anyone with the guts to do it.

"Those real Tennesseans might want to think this through a little more."

Real Tennesseans have. You don't cure brain cancer (McCain) with AIDS (Romney).

You have got to be kidding. Romney is the only one who can beat Hillary or Obama. He has the experience, the demeanor and skill. Go, Mitt!

McCain falls way short of being able to honestly state he is a conservative.

Gomer Huckabee falls way short of being able to honestly state he is a conservative.

We shall see. I’m rooting for Romney to lose, not for McCain to win.

Ron Paul hasn’t got a prayer. You can support him if you want but bashing Romney while saying little in defense of your candidate isn’t going to get you anyhere.

Tell you what.

I'll support Mitt at this point and you can support a Richard Pryor/Dr. Demento ticket.

How's that...

Kitten1,
Just buy a bottle of wine for one of your liberal neighbors in exchange for filling out their absentee ballot. It’s always worked for me.
