“That is a vote for McCain. And be assured, John McCain IS NOT putting Huckabee on his ticket”

McCain feels contempt for Huckabee, he is just using him. Huckabee is not acting like a Christian the way he is delibertly trying to split the conservative vote.

I understand your dilemma. My concern is by four years from now the next generation of Supreme Court appointees has been made and there will be no chance for change on abortion for 20 years.

Hillary or Obama will make sure Roe stands. McCain has proven he wants to be friends with the liberals. Romney has professed a change of heart and at this point I have to believe him.

Where is Fred? Has he endorsed McCain or is he just being quiet? If he was the man he said he was, he would be endorsing Mitt right now. If the situation was reversed, I would hope that Mitt would be endorsing Fred. Actions speak volume about a man’s character.

Rick, Rick, Rick, you showed so much promise and have fallen so far. It looks like living in Washington does change people.

I guess it’s like working for the mob. You do a job for them once and you have to keep doing things for them to feed your family.

Frankly, I believe that Romney is going to do an outstanding job.

I agree. I have this feeling (I'm female!) that he will be the right president for the time.

We donated money to his campaign this morning.

Heck, just dangle a pizza in front of Huckaphony and he'll do your bidding.

Does that mean we can order him a bunch of stuffed crust and get him to drop out before Tuesday???

Isn’t Huckabee in the headlines attacking Romney today? If he was a legit candidate, he would attack mcCAIN too... heh.

Great endorsement! I hope some others come out in the next couple of days to give Mitt some momentum.

I’ve been thinking that one strategy that the Romney campaign might pursue in the next few days is to declare a running mate.

I've been thinking that for awhile now. He really needs to do it...yesterday wouldn't have been too early.

He can leave that to Walter Mitty and his impossible dream of buying the Presidency! Mitt will be running spots against McCain in every state. Huck is making the smart move . . .

Certainly, as long as my flight doesn’t stop off in San Francisco. Of course, I would have to head straight for your warm beaches. ;>)

BTW...I have to admit, I had to Google to find out what RCIA means. I admit disappointment in finding that it was not a wine. ;>)

If Romney dropped out before Huckabee, I would vote for Huckabee, but it’s not going to happen, because I will vote on Super Tuesday. If would only happen if my state voted after Super Tuesday. I don’t like the way it seems that Huckabee and McCain seem to have come to some sort of agreement to defeat and split the conservative base as a way of defeating Romney. That is disturbing coming from someone who claims to be a Christian. I think Huck’s supporters should see this as a red flag as to the true nature of his character.

Actually it may end up going to Hunter:’) This argument makes no sense to me though. McCain isn’t going anywhere. This is a fight between Romney and Huckabee. One must drop out. If Romney drops out I would think as much as his base hates Huckabee, they would go to McCain. Help me out here, Romney supporters. Getting past the “it will never happen” if Romney dropped out would you vote for Huckabee or McCain?

Speaking for myself I wouldn't go to McCain. Be that as it may. Romney has more momentum and more money. Its Huck that should drop out.

“Let’s see, on the one hand, we have the likes of Rush, Tancredo, Bork, etc endorsing Romney, and we have the likes of Guiliani, Arnold, and the NY Times endorse McCain. Yet some people on this site still argues that there is no difference between the two.”

Yes, there is a big difference between the two, can’t people see it? Just look at the debates, for pete’s sake! Look at how Romney comes across, like a strong man with a strong mind and character, versus McCain, a spiteful man with not too bright of a mind. Plus, Anne Coulter brought up an excellent point, McCain is a damn liar, claiming that he is the only Republcan to support the surge. McCain is such a punk for being such a liar. Has he no shame? What is even worse, is the media, except for Anne Coulter, has allowed McCain to get away with this. McCain is no better then the Clinton Machine, which is why the left-media finds him so acceptable. I will not vote for McCain. It’s just that simple.

That was a joke:’) It doesn’t matter though, both say they are staying in. Who can blame them? They are both close. In the end it might be best. The hard core Romeny and Huckabee people won’t cross over to each other anyway. We in the middle that would drop them both like hot potatos if we had another choice may be able to put one of them over. Who knows?

Understand where you’re coming from but consider that Romney has 3 wins and more delegates. Its no longer a choice on the basis of equality now. The better strategy, for those of us who can’t stand McCain, is for Huck to drop out now.
