He went on to say that his the U.S. -- and those countries that have committed to reducing greenhouse gases --

If leftists like these two commies hadn't fotted all over nuclear energy thirty and fourty years ago, we'd be driving the modern-day equivalent of bumper cars in both style and luxury with no emmissions at all. Screw these commie, lying, b's.

U.S. GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS DROP IN 2006

Total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions in 2006 were 1.5 percent below the 2005 total—the first annual drop since 2001 and only the third since 1990.
The total emissions reduction, from 7,181.4 million metric tons carbon dioxide equivalent (MMTCO2e) in 2005 to 7,075.6 MMTCO2e in 2006, was largely a result of reductions in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. There were smaller reductions in emissions of methane (CH4) and man-made gases with high global warming potentials (high-GWP gases) (Table 1 below).
U.S. carbon dioxide emissions in 2006 were 110.6 million metric tons (MMT) below their 2005 level of 6,045.0 MMT, due to favorable weather conditions; higher energy prices; a decline in the carbon intensity of electric power generation that resulted from increased use of natural gas, the least carbon-intensive fossil fuel; and greater reliance on non-fossil energy sources.
Methane emissions totaled 605.1 MMTCO2e in 2006 (Figure 1 on right), down by 2.3 MMTCO2e from 2005, with decreases in emissions from energy sources, agriculture, and industrial processes.

Let’s see, the guy who takes private jets around the world to speak for outragous sums of payola and whose family has homes and places to visit all over the globe, travels with an entourage larger than a high school graduating class wants ME to cut back?

Yup. Calling it “climate change” increases their power.

Saying CO2 emissions is the engine of the “climate change” gives them unlimited power.

In one of my local communities, you need to apply for, pay for, and get an approved permit to have rain barrels. It is because the city feels they control the aquifer and therefore they don’t want homeowners and landowners making decisions that could affect when water enters it.

Same with CO2. If you can get the sheeple to allow you to pass laws to control it you literally can control anything and everything that emits or consumes CO2 - even the birth rate.

Thanks to the constitution, about the ONLY thing they can’t do is break into your home without a warrant, but as technology marches on, they will be able to see inside easily enough. They’ll be able to see you smoking in your basement, which will give “probable cause” to get a warrant since, by then, it will be illegal to smoke in your home if you have kids OR PETS. They’ll see how many people are in your house. The list goes on.

Prepare to be micromanaged to death in an ultra safe cage.

Me? If I were a gazelle, I would prefer the freedom and danger of the Savanna to a cozy cage in a zoo. The former is what my creator designed me for. The latter is a product of man-made fascism.

This isn’t about climate. It is about utterly total control. It is quite literally epochal. Give it another two to four years.

The times, they are a changin’.

Bubba is a lot of things but not stupid. I am convinced based on these and other comments that he has no interest in being “first lady” and is attempting to throw the race. Hillary is going to kill him!

Check out "Liberal Facism" by Jonah Goldberg from your local library or purchase --> very inciteful.

By the way, the librarian might give you the evil eye for checking out that book... lol

This would be funny if McCain didn’t whole-heartedly agree with it.

“We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions ‘cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren.”

Uh...... which GOP candidate has recently signed on to the Global warming fantasy?

I don't really think there's much debate that, at least initially, a full commitment to reduce greenhouse gases would slow down the economy….So was this a moment of candor?

I don't think Jake intended to acknowledge that. That is quite a concession for ABC, even if it is obvious to any with a brain.

Gotta keep those little people little. Of course, the part of the economy consumed by the likes of the Clintons - tax exempt foundation-funded private jets, five star hotels, junkets to international conferences at luxury resorts and gourmet restaurant meals - will not slow down.

Slick needs to get his VP, Algore, over there to talk for him on this issue. So, how does Hillary respond to this “slow down the economy” crap when she is on the campaign trail????

The guy you’re trying to shove down our throat, McCaniac, stands for the same thing as Clinton does.

Come on now, you are being hysterical.
Lets run down the issues one at a time, shall we?

1)Endorses participation in the ICC. - so does hillary.
2)Voted against the Bush tax cuts. - so did hillary.
3)Wants Gitmo closed. - so does hillary.
4)Demands an end to waterboarding. - so does hillary.
5)Wants terrorists to have access to trial in America. - so does hillary.
6)Wants America to be bound to a “Global Warming” agenda. - so does hillary.
7)Wants amnesty and authored and voted for McCain/Kennedy - so did hillary.
8)Does not exclude known criminals and felons from amnesty. - neither does hillary.
9)Does not believe that immigrants of any type should learn English. - Neither does hillary.
10) has zero record on appointing judges. Neither does hillary but they both did great damage to the process recently, john with the gang of .. how many? and hillary with her voting record.
11)John has a history of scandal and an ill controlled temper - so does hillary.

Oh, wait ... you’re right.

That’s got to be one of the most moronic bylaws ever (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

Around here, rain barrels are encouraged — they’ve even been subsidized — as a way of reducing demands on the reservoir.
