BRATTLEBORO (ruthlandherald.com) — Brattleboro residents will vote at town meeting on whether President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney should be indicted and arrested for war crimes, perjury or obstruction of justice if they ever step foot in Vermont.
The Brattleboro Select Board voted 3-2 Friday to put the controversial item on the Town Meeting Day warning.
According to Town Clerk Annette Cappy, organizers of the Bush-Cheney issue gathered enough signatures, and it was up to the Select Board whether Brattleboro voters would consider the issue in March.
Cappy said residents will get to vote on the matter by paper balloting March 4.
Kurt Daims, 54, of Brattleboro, the organizer of the petition drive, said Friday the debate to get the issue on the ballot was a good one. Opposition to the vote focused on whether the town had any power to endorse the matter.

What is it exactly that George W. Bush did to break the law? If in fact he broke the law or usurped the constitution why is it then that the U.S. Congress is failing to do their duty and investigate this serious crime and hold him accountable? Could it be that your town is full of a bunch of Patisan Liberals that are hate filled against a President that stood up for America and has a vision that, Freedom is the universal solution to the problem of terrorism? Could it be that in your bizzarro world 911 was a government conspriracy that you blame on President Bush because you cannot come to grips with the reality of the situation? Would your insane thinking still cause you to attempt to prosecute this man if Saddam Hussein had successfully enlisted terror squads to come to Brattleboro and say take over your elementary school where the Islamic Jihadists gathered your young sons and daughters into the Gymnasium and subsequently beheaded them all throwing the heads out the door to be broadcast on the 5 O'clock Brattleboro news cast? Well I am sure that I will be cancelling any vaction plans that I would have to Vermont Period and will request my friends do the same for fear that I may get caught up in the insanity that you call reality.

If they decide to do so, then I think the Pres. and Vice Pres. should pay a visit to Brattleboro. Hold a rally outside city hall.

Otherwise they would be arrested by the Secret Service for making threats against the President of the United States.
There is no immunity for local officials for this in Federal Court.
I would go there and defy the local police to separate the president and vice president from his secret service details.
Let’s just see what the local police do when presented with that option.
Personally I would have the Attorney General pay a visit to Prattleboro and give them “what for”

On their website, battleboro.com, they have posted that they have received three times as many positive comments as negative. And they have labeled negative comments as hate speech. We are to email comments to daniel@dosolutions.com
I think I have a few comments for them.
Lets generate enough comments that the negative ones are three times more than the positive ones.
Since the town knows there is no legal standing to arrest the President and VP this is nothing short of threatened kidnapping of the President and VP which is a violation of US code 18,1871.
