Posted on 01/30/2008 8:41:09 AM PST by TSchmereL

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, from behind the golden EIB microphone, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

I agree on Fred as VEEP......he knows who on The Hill is slime, is conservative, and who he can count on to uphold their end of the ‘deals’.

That’s why Rush could promote Thompson supporting Romney, not Rush doing it himself.

That's the same thing as Rush endorsing Romney.

How else could you possibly interpret Rush saying "I think Fred Thompson should endorse Romney?"

McKeating has been threatening Rush.

I guarantee it.

What difference does it make who Rush endorses?

He has very little influence anyway and no, I’m not happy about that.

Rush didn’t hurt Huckabee in Iowa and he sure didn’t hurt McCain in Florida. Both of these candidates pretended they never heard of Rush Limbaugh when queried about it. And no wonder. The people who vote for McCain and Huckabee don’t listen to Rush Limbaugh.

Which is not to say that Rush has no influence. He certainly does. It’s just that I feel like I’ve gotten a little reality check. The people who listen to Rush are simply NOT a majority of the voters in this country.

We are not even a majority of Republicans but maybe about 50% of Republicans.

I listen to Rush iterate over and over that conservatism works every time it’s tried. Well nobody wants to try it. Thompson tried it and nobody listened. I would softly suggest Rick Santorum tried it to no avail. For sure Huckabee or McCain ain’t going to go conservative.

And why should they? Both of them made the closest thing to a conservative, Fred Thompson, sit in their dust.

On another note, has anybody seen that line waiting to hear Obama speak? Come on guys. Nobody’s stood in lines like that for a presidential candidate since...well since I don’t know when.

And Obama sure ain’t a conservative either.

Hey, I’m cool. I can handle it. It’s just time for me, and perhaps yon own wise selves, to face reality.

The Mainstream Media sees this as an opportunity to crush conservatives. If McCain is the nominee, the conservative movement will be declared “dead.”

If the MSM is trying to crush conservatives, and they are pulling for McCain, why do so many refer to him as a conservative or a member of the "far right"?

Makes you wonder if McCain is the American “Germanicus”. With him as our nominee, full amnesty is a lock no matter who wins the election. Another amnesty and we’ll permanently lose our country to the Mexican Reconquista.

well I listened all night to the pro political circus

First off, this ain’t over by a damned site.......

We and Romney are fighting three separate fronts

We are fighting head to head with the media in the name of Tim Russert, Chris Matthews and Tom Brokaw

Last night, Russert said as much with the appearance of Rudy at the REAGAN LIBRARY pushing McCain.Russert allowed the delicious juicy weaking of the Reagan mantle in Reagan’s house with this action. There was particular joy in it being McCain receiveing Rudy’s praise too

The debates tonight ......

Romney has to be the news, no way for media spin and it
need be specific.......
If I were Romney, tonight,this night,prepared,I’d
name Fred Thompson as my running mate
You would own the headlines, the momentum and the conservatives

Hillary said she WILL SEAT the Florida delegates...How ? Lawyers.....yet no story

Lastly, Rush Limbaugh

The Florida vote in real time was as accurate as the Texas vote in real time ( which did not happenn, hense the point)
The news of McCain’s lies and Obama’s Kennedy following was not known by 1/3 of the Florida voters

Rush is about to make history is my next guess

Surely there are brilliant minds here and in our ranks that can come up with a solution to solve the problem of a McCain and the poor performance of the GOP.

Somebody help us - please.

And, now is not the time for the cute little jokes about this or the blame game. What do we do now - going forward?

What happened to our Party leaders? Why are they so suddenly promoting the moderates?

That is possible. I put nothing past libs.

But, I believe the biggest reason is that once Republicans get elected to Washington and start spending all their time in the bubble that is 'inside the beltway', they are immersed in liberal media, immersed in the philosophy that is 'inside the beltway', and that philosophy is liberal.

In other words, when a politician gets 'inside the beltway' they will be changed unless they have some serious intestinal fortitude.
