If McCain gets the nomination I may have to do a write in vote for Newt in November, I have opposed McCain for so long I don’t know if I could pull the lever for him!

Right now, the Leadership (not the grassroots nor many candidates for local and state office) still wants to operate in the smoky backroom and push their desired (weak leadership but self financed) candidates onto the voters and expect the voters to toe the line. Good quality candidates are either not supported or the Leadership works to defeat quality people in favor of weak “yes-men”.
How to take back the GOP? Get involved at the local levels. Become an elected Precinct Committeeman (or in some states it’s called “Block Captain” or “Precinct Captain”) Put in the leadership YOU want, not what is put before you by a smoky backroom.
The Leadership will cause the GOP to fall apart and lose its relevancy. The Democrats smell blood in the national waters, only their ineptitude and the ultra-liberal vs. moderate infighting of the Democrats is preventing an American conversion to one party rule.

You have that right! And McLame will not do it for any noble reason: He will do it because of spite, of ego, because he does not like Rush.
It is okay for him not to like Rush. It would be dangerous for him to abuse his power and shut down talk radio via the fairness doctrine. And this would happen even if Rush supports McLame if McLame becomes the Republicrat candidate.
I was disappointed that Jeb Bush did not come out and endorse Mitt Romney.
What gives?
Yesterday Rush pointed out how the MSM is now portraying the race as not Romney v. McCain, but Limbaugh v. McCain. Is the media purposefully trying to gin up more votes for McCain by inspiring the previously lethargic anti-Rushites, not all lefties, to vote in the primaries in order to spite Rush? The MSM would like nothing better than to diminish Rush, if possible, in the eyes of the general public.
Hm.....have we ever considered that maybe our party has been infiltrated by democrats undercover?
What happened to our Party leaders? Why are they so suddenly promoting the moderates? Looks like something might have been going on as we fought over how liberal Bush was.
The democrats stop at nothing. Who is to say they have not infiltrated the Republican Party leadership to undermine from within?
