McCain topper Rick Davis quietly negotiated the agreement.

HALPERIN’S TAKE: 10 things Giuliani could have done differently.

Giuliani, in Florida concession speech, talked about his effort in the past tense, but said nothing explicit about dropping out — or The Deal.

I hope everyone is ready... The pieces of the coup are being put in place.

Before long we will be pledging allegiance to the NAFTA flag and the North American Union.

Enjoy the last few years of a free America, folks...

I reluctantly think McCain is the better choice to be my third choice.

And I understand why you accept an endorsement from somebody polling 15% nationally.

But I am concerned about what McCain may have promised Rudy for the endorsement. I DO NOT want to see Rudy as attorney general or, God forbid, VP.

Sorry, my vote goes to Paul. If it causes McCain to be elected, that’s yours and the GOP’s problem, not mine.

There, fixed it.

On a side note, anyone see Guliani's campaign advisor on Fox the last month?

He has to be the worst political aide I've seen ever.

I know you’re not the brightest, but as long as you live in the United States then yes, Captain Obvious, it IS your problem.

Not a bad deal, if the negatives Giuliani has built up in recent months drive voters away from McCain. Maybe Rudi can do to McCain what he did to himself. Wishful thinking on my part, but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

You didn't fix jack, chump.

Thanks for screwing over Conservatives, FR appreciates it.

My support for the ONLY conservative in the race isn't "scewing" over anyone. Lay off the crack pipe.

Romney is always on defense. I didn’t like the tactics that McCain used in saying that Romney wanted a withdrawal date, but that is nothing compared to what the Hillary people would do. Romney just kept playing defense. He was completely blindsided. I think Hillary would beat him easily.

I asked myself, “What would Reagan do”? I can hear him saying, “There you go again, John.”

I don't vote for liberals, regardless of party.

Hillary might have you scared but not me.

I’m done with the Republican Party. They can forget my money, my time, and my support. They do not represent me. They have made that fact abundently clear. The “party” consistently promotes candidates who are far to the left of what “Republicans” used to stand for. They prop up candidates like Arlen Specter, Wayne Gilchrest, Mike Castle, John McCain, Lincoln Chafee, and many, many, more. Christ, in my own state we’ve gone from Pete DuPont as the saviour of our state, to offering up crap like Jan Ting to compete against a high school dropout whose nearly wiped out all the gains that Pete earned for us.

I guess I was prescient in voting for a third party candidate for DE governer in 2006.

Fortunately, history has shown that our Nation can withstand a century without a “republican” party. It can withstand major political upheaval. And that provides me with significant comfort as far as my vote goes.

“If Rudy ends up as McCain’s VP, Juan goes from “nose holder” to ‘no way’.”

I don’t know why he would pick Rudy. Rudy has shown that he is not a vote-getter, so what would he bring to the ticket?

Voting for a sideshow ensures your opposition of a win. Again, I know you’re not the brightest, but that’s pretty obvious.

It’s my personal hope that if McCain is indeed nominated then a real conservative third-party conservative rises from the ashes. And I’m not talking about Sideshow Ron.

2 months ago I scoffed at Newsweek’s cover story about a possible Bloomberg 3rd party run. Now, I would almost welcome it.
