Romney is always on defense. I didn’t like the tactics that McCain used in saying that Romney wanted a withdrawal date, but that is nothing compared to what the Hillary people would do. Romney just kept playing defense. He was completely blindsided. I think Hillary would beat him easily.

I asked myself, “What would Reagan do”? I can hear him saying, “There you go again, John.”

That’s a big whopper. Romney came out immediately and demanded an apology from McInsane for saying it. Plus he immediately went on the attack against McLame as being a liberal voter on key issues such as amnesty, CFR, voting against Bush’s tax cuts, etc. What Romney couldn’t fight was the endorsement of Gov. Crist, the endorsement of Sen. Martinez, and the whole apparatus of the State GOP establishment leaders in FL that were thrown against him. Plus a bunch of old codgers voting for one of their own.
