Sen. John McCain now is embracing a version of the attrition strategy to fight illegal immigration, saying his version of a guest-worker plan would actually force many illegal aliens to leave the country over the next couple of years.

Build the effin’ wall and make sure it works.
THEN we can talk about guest worker programs, amnesty, etc.
McLame is listening to Juan Hernandez again.
Of course it will reduce illegals... It will make them legal.
Heh.
I guess what he said is “straight talk” after all.
What a moron McCain is.
“force many illegal aliens to leave the country”
in order to find that missing quart of strawberries
I think I would just about vote democrat before voting for McCain. Maybe I can vote for that pot smoking party...anyone recall which one that is?
And to be frank about it, I don’t care a lot for anyone else on the repub ticket either.
Perfectly said!
This is the same garbage he tried to shove down America’s throats last summer with his failed immigration amnesty legislation.
It is amazing how any Republican could possibly vote for this guy in the state primaries. Unbelievable!
WAKE UP AMERICA! JOHN MCCAIN IS NO CONSERVATIVE!
He's right. If you declare the illegals to be legal, then the number of illegals is reduced.
Until it is more attractive to stay home, criminals will steal identities and scoff at our laws.
Absolute moonbat lunacy. McLame said he “heard the American people”...but he obviously isn’t listening.
Fred’s image of tall walls with wide gates. That’s the one we need.
Control the border, first. Stop entitlements to illegals, cut off welfare and all the rest. Revise the definition of anchor baby to mean infants born to non-citizens in the US LEGALLY, sanction employers utilizing illegals, and cut off Federal funds of any sort to so-called ‘sanctuary cities’.
We’ve been treated to amnesty programs before. They don’t work. What’s not to understand?
I am generally opposed to single issue litmus testing the candidates, but this one has such grave implications, I may have to rethink my position. Of course, with McLame, illegal immigration is not the only sore spot, IMO.
Beat me to it. My joke was going to be, “legalizing all drugs expected to result in dramatic decrease in illegal drug trafficking.”
God (you remind me), how I miss Fred’s clear voice in this campaign.
In the unlikely even that McCain got the nomination it would sound the death knell for the GOP. Nobody I know would vote for him.
The wall is going to work as well as it did in Berlin.
The Illegals are a free market solution to a free market problem. Who’s the best quality worker for the cheapest price.
Businessmen want to keep our current situation going along because they can pay illegals a lot less for much better work. You can either get born in the USA meth-head who thinks he’s God’s gift to you or you can hire a mexican who’s sending every penny back home to support his/her family. It’s a no brainer.
