Bill Clinton: Obama Is Just Like Jesse Jackson (On Drudge)

Said Bill Clinton today in Columbia, SC: "Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in '84 and '88. Jackson ran a good campaign. And Obama ran a good campaign here."

This was in response to a question about Obama saying it "took two people to beat him." Jackson had not been mentioned.

Boy, I can't understand why anyone would think the Clintons are running a race-baiting campaign to paint Obama as "the black candidate."

“All a show my friends. Clinton and Obama are going to be on the ticket together, just you wait. MSM will eat this up...the first female/black ticket...what an historic event! Surely we must vote for this ticket or we’re sexist, racist, hate-mongering bigots!”

Will not happen in a million years. The RATS will not let Obama get anywhere near the “White” House. They would sooner select Richardson as the Veep because he can bring them a “red state”.

Obama offers nothing to a Clinton ticket because they already have the black vote.

When will blacks finally understand who the racists really are? When will blacks finally understand who supports them as Americans, and who wants to keep them on the plantation?

I hear you, but I'm sure we have all heard women comment, at one time or another (such as on this site) how pretty she is and what a beautiful smile she has.

But we know better:

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton

But all the women see is the NY Times endorsement version with the "pretty smile":

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton

You know, there are plenty of Democrats who know and understand that the Clintons are venal and horrible people.

It's been hard to miss since the early 90's, when they first hit the national scene. But that has never stopped dems from supporting them. Nor will it stop Obama from doing whatever is necessary to acquire power. If that means being her VP and pretending she's the greatest show on earth, he'll do it (Gore did it with Clinton and Lieberman did it with Gore).

So if Obama thinks HRC will be president, he's her VP if she'll have him. That makes him the nominee in 2016 and he's a young man. OTOH, if he thinks she's going down in flames in the general election and he can pick up the pieces in 2012, he won't. Or he may decide that he can take her down by not being her VP. Then 2012 is open for him again. The decision ain't going to be on principle. Or, more correctly, pursuit of power is a principle for Obama and HRC.

Your mistake is thinking that Obama is somehow different. Both he and HRC are disciples of Saul Alinsky. To such folks, power is an end in itself. You do and say anything to get it. HRC's problem is she has run into someone as ruthless as she is in a much slicker package. Obama is just as slick as Bill when the dems swooned over him in 1992.

Bottom line, being ruthless while convincing a bunch of democrats that you represent "hope" is not all that hard if you get the packaging right. Al "big footprint" Gore runs around pretending he is green and dems buy it. John "two americas" Edwards goes around pretending he is a populist from a 10,000 square foot home and noone calls him. John "ready for duty" Kerry actually convinced dems he had a military record worthy of respect.

It's just not that hard to snow dems (who run on pixie dust anyway) and Obama is a worthy successor to the best of his snow job predecessors.

>>>>>>So if Obama thinks HRC will be president, he’s her VP if she’ll have him.

That would prove him to be an impossibly stupid man.

And it would prove the Clintons to be uncharacteristically generous, trusting, and magnanimous people.

Q.E.D. Occam’s Razor.

Not happening.

Tertiary syphilis? It essentially rots the brain tissue, although since Clinton has shi* for brains, perhaps he is immune...

"Said Bill Clinton today in Columbia, SC: "Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in '84 and '88. Jackson ran a good campaign. And Obama ran a good campaign here."

Translation: "Yeah, Obama won in SC, just like that loser, Jesse Jackson did. But Jesse never got the Democratic nomination, and never became president, did he? I did, and so will Hillary."

"What makes you believe that a man of Obama’s accomplishments would disgrace himself at the feet of Hitlery Clinton . . . ?

What exactly are those accomplishments?

It is so much fun to see the DemocRATS fighting about race. For so long the DemocRAT political machine has fooled blacks into thinking they really supported them and wanted what was best for the black community and now doubt is seeping into this thinking because of Bubba’s big mouth. It’s great to watch. This needed to happen. It is going to split the black vote away from the Clinton presidency.

Jeepers, Democrat or not, the guy graduated summa cum laude from Harvard Law and was editor of its Law Review. Those are accomplishments regardless of one’s political beliefs.

I just don’t see him seconding himself to Hitlery or (much worse) “First Husband” Slick Willie for four years under any circumstances. It’s not as if we in FR are the only people who know how evil and repugnant the Clintons actually are.

And Obama must surely know that as VP he’d be contending with Slick and under his boot for the entire four years.

God forbid they prevail, but if so they’ll be looking for some sort of compliant freak-show mutant to take the VP slot, another Janet Reno or Donna Shalala (sp?) or something similar.

This could actually turn into the *real* clintoon legacy - not one they’d hoped for, but a good thing for the rest of America. In many cities and states, politics are dominated by a Rat machine that counts on automatic votes from Blacks. If this causes the Black vote to become less monolithic, the political landscape will change in many places. What could be better for us (and worse for clintoons)??

The boundless evil of these folks allows for limitless possibilities. The flaw in the BJ-VP gambit, as I see it, is that it leaves Bill a heartbeat away from Presidency. Hillary’s heartbeat. Is she really going to put herself in that position?

Sure -- if that was the plan. (She wouldn't need to quit beating that thing that passes for a "heart" -- all she'd need to do is resign -- announce that "my heart is still with my people of New York, and my talents and services would best be used by resuming my job as Senator.")

Or, if they really want to put a thumb to the national eye, she could resign -- he would then get back in the saddle -- and then he would appoint her as VP.

Yes, that ought to be real effective -- at letting us all know who's really in charge. Anyone who could pull something like that off with impunity is capable of anything. And NO ONE would dare cross them ever again.

We seem to be missing the fact that the race war isn’t between Obama and Hillary, the two Democrat candidates...it’s between Obama and a third party: Hillary’s interfering husband. So...what if Hillary taps one of the Clintons’ old associates to cause a convenient and terminal heart attack in Bill? It’s not like it wasn’t done with impunity while they were co president.

Then she WOULD be free to tap him as VP, because it would be so much easier to kiss and make up for the cameras. The fight wasn’t between THEM, after all.

I must be missing something here. How is she going to appoint him to anything after he has a terminal heart attack?
