Said Bill Clinton today in Columbia, SC: "Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in '84 and '88. Jackson ran a good campaign. And Obama ran a good campaign here."
This was in response to a question about Obama saying it "took two people to beat him." Jackson had not been mentioned.
Boy, I can't understand why anyone would think the Clintons are running a race-baiting campaign to paint Obama as "the black candidate."
He is looking at getting back into the white house as a validation of his career and life.
Al Capone went to his grave believing everything he did was justified. The Clintons are no different.
If Clintons win, they will be in the white house, February 2009, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Senate trial and acquittal.
The disbarred chief executive charged with enforcing the law, with standing and credible accusations of rape in his history, sitting in the oval office once again.
Can America stomach this?
I think Bubba may have pushed it too far, here.
Most Hillary people I know are not going to vote for her if they see her as the voice of racial intolerance. They view themselves as being good and on the side of progress. They are not going to be happy when Hillary asks them to vote against Obama because of his race.
California is watching. You can bet your boots that Hillary supporters are catching Hell this week over the blatant racial pandering going on in South Carolina. How are they going to defend this?
It might be Richardson. I always thought it would be either Evan Bayh, Weasley Clark or some Clinton ally.
Kelly Wright, the black commentator on Fox and Friends, was really ticked off about this comment this morning.
>>>>>Obama? What accomplishments?
Please, be real.
Let’s start with #1: he’s the first black man in American history to mount a serious presidential campaign.
I MEANT career accomplishments. Race has nothing to do with it. Obama can’t take credit for biology. YOU get real. The race card is Clintons’ pervue. (And Je$$e’$ Rent-a-Riot brigades)
Similarly, Hillary has no accomplishments. SHE cannot claim credit for biology either. The sex card is the Clintons’ pervue, too. (and the NOW crowd)
Jackson supports Obama. His wife supports Hillary, interestingly. Jesse Jr. has a position in the Obama campaign, so the Jackson’s largely support Obama.
Dunno. He apparently approached the Kerry Kamp in '04 about a vp position, but when Kerry contacted him about actually going there, McCain made a huge deal about how different they are and how McCain could never sell out his principles like that. IMO, fat Teddy probably told him not to, because he could then make even more troouble to his nemesis, President Bush, as a Republican.
Now...well, who knows. McCain would probably lock the election for the slimy creature. Look how many people keep voting for him in the primaries. UGH. On the OTHER hand, McCain also has a very good chance of beating the slimy creature...so he may well refuse again.
Is that a step up from farting in their general direction? THAT was a really classy thing for the Commander in Chief to do.
That may be but, with TWO of them on TV, I'm ALREADY suffering from "Clinton Fatigue". Can any American, Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal, tolerate years and years of this mental assault?
Re: I dont like his politics, but in my eyes Obama is standing tall above the grotesque filth of the Clintons.
If one of the Republicans cant win it, I certainly hope he does.
Ditto here.
I hope we are witnessing the last days in the political lives of the Clintons....not counting on it, but am holding out hope.
People could have said the same thing about GWB in 1999. Would he really have been governor if not for his father?
You missed the point. IMO, you did it on purpose. He may damned well have become governor of Texas without his father, but if he couldn't DO it, he wouldn't have been able to KEEP it, father or not. As it was, he was EXTREMELY popular as governor of Texas, and he HAD a record when he ran for president. Obama DOES NOT.
(For the record, I would have voted for a Maggie Thatcher equivalent in a heartbeat. Or Walter Williams, for that matter. It's a person's core beliefs, their actions, that should overshadow everything else. A d'uh statement indeed.)
Hardening of his.....arteries?
I’d call it a “pretty SCARY smile,” all bug-eyed and psycho-looking. Hard to summon up any respect for this woman, given the ugliness of her insides contaminate any possible pleasant external view.
>>>>>I MEANT career accomplishments. Race has nothing to do with it. Obama cant take credit for biology. YOU get real.
What is it with you anyway?
