New York Times ^ | 01/27/2008 | Caroline Kennedy

OVER the years, I’ve been deeply moved by the people who’ve told me they wished they could feel inspired and hopeful about America the way people did when my father was president. This sense is even more profound today. That is why I am supporting a presidential candidate in the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama...

If he goes up against Romney it will be a pretty even match.

Not even close. Romney can't generate the commitment from the Republican base that Obama already has from the Dem base.

If Obama looks like he’s going to win, I wonder if he may have an “accident.” I think Jr. was sabotaged.

Maybe it’s too hard to face being wrong for so long. Some have managed....Ron Silver, Dennis Miller, David Horowitz etc. Should be pretty damn obvious to everyone when someone is announcing he wants to kill you!!!

JFK wasn’t sabotaged. He got himself into a situation he shouldn’t have been in without an instrument rating and didn’t have the training to get out of it. Experienced pilots sometimes have to force themselves to rely on their instruments and not what they see - JFK, Jr. was unable to do this. Bad judgement on his part to go on that flight at all, unfortunately.

Well, yea.

My point was the similarities in political positions, charisma, looks and the ability to speak well.

And get people to believe what ever they say.

"Even" in slickness etc.

I hope Obama is in better health than John Kennedy was too. We now know how sick he really was. Some question if he would have even survived a second term. Much of “camelot” was based on a big facade. Ironic too that Kennedy won in 1960 partly because he looked so good on TV and Nixon had been ill during their first debate. In reality Nixon was in much better health.

Kennedy and many Dems in his day believed in defending America too. Not so with today’s Dems so on this issue, Caroline’s claim is wrong.

Jack and Jill went up the Hill
They weren’t after no water
Stupid Jill forgot her pill
And Jack, that cat’s a father
Ha ha ha ha

Oops upside your head
I said oops upside your head.

I can still remeber that song from the 70’s myself.

Imho, this is big. It shows the disgust that the Kennedy part of the Dem party feel for the Clintoons. I think the Clintoons may have “jumped the shark”.

I work in an almost 100% minority environment and the black women are negative about black men. Some won’t date anything but white men.

JFK would roll in his grave to see what the Democrat Party has become.

I agree with ya.

It is based on emotion. Unless Republicans stand up for something real soon, Mr. Ultra liberal Obama is the next President.

The problem is, your candidate, the Huckster, and all the rest are not real conservatives. They are facisimilies, and as such, are worthless in this election cycle.

In other words, there is no one to get behind.

I think people just hate HILLARY and want to knock her out. It’s not so much the empty suit that is Obama Hussein, but general dislike for the Clintons and the desire of not going back to the past. He’s just in the right place at the right time. He is not evil like Billary.
