OK folks, as of 1730 hours yesterday, Carhartt Inc, the worlds leading maker of durable outdoor and work clothing has generously donated...ready for this???
750 pairs of ECWCS (Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System) thermal underwear and (this is really good),
5,000, yes thats five THOUSAND pairs of winter wool socks to the 2-503ABN Infantry Regimen 173DABN Brigade (Sep).
So I'd like to ask that everyone go out and buy something with the Carhartt label. It doesn't have to be much; it's not a donation, it's a personal purchase for you, or your husband, or son, or wife, or whomever. I just want to show Carhartt how much we appreciate this very generous offer.
If you'd like to help Soldiers Angels at the same time, you can click this link and go to BassProShops and a portion of the sale goes to Soldiers Angels.

Now. Tankerbabe I have to go fill out about 50 Customs Declaration forms each, so Carhartt can ship the stuff direct to the Stan.
I'll have updated information on several events scheduled later this spring.

I just sent a thank you note to the only email address I could find on their site. jmozena@carhartt.com is the media director according to the site.
I’ll bet he or she will be glad to forward my, and other emails to the management team.

I bought over $100 of Carhart winter clothing just this winter. It seems a little pricey at first, but it is very well made and durable. I will be wearing it for years before I need to replace it.
Good to hear they are treating our troops right.

I buy Carhartt all the time. My wife even prefers their jeans because they look better. This donation says a lot about the company. I’ll certainly be glad to continue buying their products. Thanks Carhartt!

I’ve got lotsa Carhartt stuff. I find that it wears better and lasts longer than a lot of the even higher priced stuff out there. Which really helps when you’ve got to do the work I’ve got todo around here. The only problem is (and it’s agood problem) that I am losing weight, and am gonna have to go out and buy some more this Spring.

Thanks for the info on the company. The last two Christmases I’ve bought Hubby cold weather clothing from LL Bean for those really cold days we do get in south Alabama. I look forward to supporting Carhartt for my next cold weather purchase. :)
