At Thursday night's debate, McCain had a response for the action star, who has endorsed Republican rival Mike Huckabee:
"Now that Sylvestor Stallone has endorsed me, I'm sending him over to take care of Chuck Norris right away."

As good as Norris....he’s no match for a well-aimed fully loaded M-16.
Still, the whole thing was good for a laugh. ;)

I like Stallone, but Chuck would kick his ass (starting with a boot to head first) even though he is a few years older.
That being said, I'm looking forward to next year when the new Rambo film comes out on DVD.

Competing over their endorsements from actors.
These guys certainly have “gravitas”.

Is that the movie where Bruce Lee got a fist full of chest hair?

As much as I dislike McCain and huckabee it’s nice to see somebody in hollywood with right of center leanings.

I think this is proof positive that McCain is a liberal.
One of the hallmarks of a liberal is their inability to distinguish between the imaginary and the real, the daydream and the daily grind, the actor and the warrior.
Chuck Norris has actually fought people. A lot of them. ...and beaten them. ...nearly all of them.
Sylvester Stallone has pretended to fight.
It's appropriate that Stallone is McCain's guy, since McCain is just acting like a conservative in the same way Stallone acts like a warrior.

For his age, Chuck still looks like a pretty tough feller...and his new friends look even tougher!

I saw Stallone talking to Joe Rogan at a UFC match, and he didn’t want ANY part of the action. He made it clear he’s an ACTOR, not a fighter.
However, since he spoke the truth in front of the camera, I’ll give him props for that.

Lots of very experienced fighters thought the exact same thing. The tales of Bruce’s real fights are legendary.
Bruce really was more than an actor, he had a lot of experience in what were essentially street fights.

LOL! I bet he could do it, too! When I saw Jack in a tv commercial last year I googled him and learned that he turned 93 last year (2007) and that he is still going strong. I found a website of his that had some really cool photos of him from the 1940's. Wow, he was in shape. Some of the "feats of strength" publicity stunts he did and the records he holds for his age group are pretty impressive.
I remember watching his show on tv when I was a kid. I really liked his white German Shepard, Happy. Jack is an American treasure, that's for sure.

What? You didn’t like “F.I.S.T.” or “Oscar”, to say nothing of “Party at Kitty and Studs”?

Norris can barely move anymore. Had hip replacement or something.
In his day, however, you would be correct.

This was a good line. Both Norris and Stallone are masculine men who generally portrayed admirable American-style heroes in their movies--humble and never the first to strike. But once you got them ticked off--oh, baby.
And now, we have Brad Pitt playing Achilles. Our action heroes have gone metrosexual, for the most part, and it's to the detriment of society.
