I will say this. Bruce Lee movies were a helluva lot of fun.

Endorsements from two oldish celebrities who are well past their career primes. Really makes the candidates appealing. Candidates stuck on stupid.

I thought Brad Pitt did a brilliant job as Achilles. The character was petulant and self-absorbed - but unmatched on the battlefield.

Russell Crowe did a great job with a much more noble hero character, as Maximus in “Gladiator.”

Your ambitions for your sons are somewhat like my own (except I have two instead of three - the third child is a girl). God Bless You and your future American men!

Hey now, it’s between stallone and norris. Anyway it was either norton or ernie shavers that landed with a punch on stallone. I think that’s when they decided to go with carl weathers as apollo creed.

People are saying that Bruce Lee was a tough street fighter. And I have a friend that says that Bruce Lee created his own form of martial arts and would beat norris. I think Norris said he would crush Lee years ago. I saw norris on letterman maybe 5 years ago, and he said he didn’t want to comment because Bruce Lee wasn’t around to defend himself. And letterman actually had a good comeback ‘that’s the best time to pick on somebody, when they’re not around’ something like that.

LOL, RDTF. Thanks for posting this—can McLain get any lamer? He and Huck are like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb...playing Rock ‘Em, Sock ‘Em Robots with the REAL men, Sly and Chuck.

Lee’s martial arts creation was Jeet Kune Do, if memory serves. But still: Norris was a world champion several times over. I wouldn’t bet against him.

My favorite still has to be Demolition Man.

Try "Cop Land" (1997). Sly was actually pretty good.

I’m not knocking Lee he was an incredible athelete. But I think Norris would beat him. And both would crush stallone. And I like stallone. It’s just that he’s not a trained fighter, only played one.

I agree.

Sandra Bullock was hot in that one. :-)

I've got two girls as well. For them, if one became a nun and the other the homeschooling mother of 4-12 kids, that would be ideal.

Norris did have about 50 pounds on Bruce Lee in his prime, and had more competitive experience.

And yeah, of course Stallone isn't in the same league as Norris. He probably knows enough about boxing to be dangerous, though whether that's dangerous to his opponent or to himself is in question. Norris is still in great shape, which Stallone doesn't seem to be, and Norris is still involved in martial arts.

Random fact about Stallone: The Fonz is actually based on Sylvester Stallone. Henry Winkler was essentially doing his impression of Stallone from their time together on the set of The Lords of Flatbush.

Really Random fact: While I don't know how talented a boxer Stallone really is, I have heard that Robert de Niro really did show a lot of talent after training for Raging Bull. He went 2-1 in some real fights, and his trainer remarked that he could have been successful as a pro.

I’m looking forward to seeing the new Rambo movie. Rush said it’s pretty violent so I’m sure i’ll enjoy it. The only thing that really bothers me about stallone was that he was caught with HGH on his plane when he was in Australia, promoting his last film. Other than that stallone seems like a decent guy who appreciates his fans. Which is a rarity in hollywood.
