I will do everything I can to promote a pro-life agenda and pass pro-life legislation. If I’m saddled with a Democrat Congress, I’ll veto any pro-abortion legislation they pass. I will staff all relevant positions with pro-life appointees. I will use the Bully Pulpit to change hearts and minds, to move this country from a culture of death to a culture of life. I have no desire to throw women in jail, I just want us to stop throwing babies in the garbage.

While I remain unconvinced regarding Huckabee in general, I believe him completely in this regard. He is extremely credible regarding his pro-life stance, and if for no other reason, on this he must be given full credit. A credit that cannot be given to the others in the least.

My primary reason for withholding support for Huckabee is exactly the same reason I withheld support for Thompson from the beginning- I vote for Reagan Conservatism, and Huckabee has not embraced all three pillars thereof.

I do find myself very close to supporting him, however, such is my commitment to the Pro-Life cause, and to the 2nd Amendment, another issue where he is head and houlders above the rest.

If one must have a socialist, why not the one who is pro-Christian, pro-life, and pro-2nd amendment?

What is so wrong about the Fair Tax thing? Also, it could be because they’re both evangelical christians.

Hunter’s reasoning means nothing to me. If he felt so strongly about these things, he should have kept running

Hunter spent his whole career in the House, where he was one voice among 435. If he thought he had something to say that was worth listening to he should have found a bigger voice long before now.

While I understand that he seems to be saying that it was a process of elimination and Huck was the last one standing, I would have much preferred it had Duncan Hunter kept his mouth shut.

I may end up in that club. The “Huck sucks less” club. Not a very enthusiastic position, which means that it’s likely conservatives will be sitting out this election in droves.

In practical terms...that is empty rhetoric.
There is no way to LEAGALLY stop abortion which has been ruled legal by SCOTUS. Intentions do not mean action. You sound like the Clintons. All good intentions, but no action.

The only way abortions can be stopped is when the SCOTUS reverses their previous decision on abortion. Until that happens it is all empty rhetoric.

And if you won’t put women in jail, how exactly will you enforce prevention?

Huckabee may not have much of a chance to practice his socialism.

We’re broke.

Freepers projected qualities on Hunter he doesn’t have.
***I was going onto a bunch of Huckabee threads and planting seeds suggesting that if their candidate fizzled, the Hunter camp would have been the natural place for them to settle. Both were evangelical, pro-life. One proceeded from that basis and used religion to explain his liberal political leanings, while the other proceeded from that basis and stayed true to conservative principles. If that were the primary prism through which Hunter viewed the remaining candidates, there’s only one that even comes close — Huckabee.

How is lies and making $100,000 a year off Marriott's porn industry ...

The only "lies" about Romney are those conjured up in your mind.

As for your accusations that Marriott is somehow controlled by Mitt Romney, may I use similar "six degrees of separation" logic to accuse you, as someone who has purchased or viewed a Hollywood movie, are responsible for all the porn that Hollywood has distributed the past 50 years.

After all, without YOUR support, Hollywood would be out of business, so therefor YOU are directly responsible.

See how easy that is?

Heck. You probably own a mutual fund with stock in Master Card.

Thus you are responsible for all the bankruptcies from people who get into debt over their heads by abusing their credit cards.

Wow. The IS easy!!!

I can sluff off all the problems of the world onto people like yourself by using the "six degrees of separation" principle which says that everything is responsible for everthing.

Sad state of affairs when our choice is determined by who sucks less.

That's why I'm actually hoping that Hillary wins the Rat nomination. I think she would bring out the anti voters where B. Hussein would not. He actually scares me more than she does too (and she scares me plenty!).

Nice positive attitude.

I guess the Bully Pulpit of the president has little meaning to you since no one has used it since Ronald Reagan.

What does it hurt to try.

How about backing this bill:

Welll.....there was that little I was endorsed by the NRA scam followed by the My Dad marched with MLK spin...but hey who am I to disabuse you of your fantasy land candidate? If you want to vote for a lying vote pandering flip-flopper have at it, pardon me while I sit back and barf.

As for your accusations that Marriott is somehow controlled by Mitt Romney, may I use similar "six degrees of separation" logic to accuse you, as someone who has purchased or viewed a Hollywood movie,....

Ah, but Romney sat on the Board of Directors. He could have challenged the issue, could have resigned over the issue, but instead took the money and ran. Hint: Board of Directors do have a lot of say and 'control'.

BTW: I haven't spent any money on Hollywierd for over 10 years now, that dog don't hunt. Now the conservative book club, that's a different story, spend too much there....

Hey you're right! This was easy.

My guess is that Hunter knows a lot more then he can say publicly.

My guess if there is something that Hunter can't say because of clearance levels that means he should never make a charge that can't be disproved. That would the same tactic as the Dems and intelligence. They can accuse the administration of secrets untold but the administration can't defend itself because they can't reveal the classified proof to refute the charges.

Either way Hunter has come out of this compromised on the endorsement (Huckabee signing The Pledge a day before SC is not a sign of conviction but expedience) and petty and dishonest on the dis-endorsement.

I believe Romney’s support is an inch deep. It is paid for support, paid for endorsements and paid for media coverage.

That belief will be shattered as the truth is blatantly revealed Tuesday and beyond.

Huckabee probably convinced Hunter he would pardon Ramos and Compean if elected.

While I understand that those two agents have gotten the shaft I would find such a deal beyond comprehension. Go with a lukewarm-to-non-existent anti-illegal guy just as long as two possibly wronged agents are pardoned. I don't think so.
