BOSTON - Republican Mitt Romney's presidential campaign headquarters was broken into for the second time in four months early Thursday, but campaign officials said there was no indication the alleged theft was politically motivated.
Daniel Bradley, 28, and Michael Sauer, 30, both of Cambridge, were scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on a charge of breaking and entering at night with the intent to commit a felony. The pair were caught stealing computer equipment at the former Massachusetts' governor's Commercial Street headquarters, according to a police report.
In the September burglary, several laptop computers and a television were stolen. Boston police officer Eddy Chrispin said there's no indication the two breaks were related.
Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said the campaign "was grateful to the Boston police for their rapid response."
"There is no indication this was politically motivated," he said.
According to a police report, a guard monitoring security cameras at Romney's headquarters spotted the two men taking computers.
When police arrived about 1 a.m., they stopped Bradley and Sauer as they attempted to leave in a car. They searched the car, and found a computer box in the back seat as well as open bottles of beer. They also found crowbars and pry marks on the windows at the rear and side of Romney's building, according to the report.
Police said Bradley had six outstanding warrants, including breaking and entering and receiving stolen property.
Romney has proven himself the king of slime in this campaign, so the starting point will be to wait and make sure his robots aren’t breaking into his own headquarters to generate sympathy.
that must mean that the clingons think rombot to be the
pubie candidate,
a la nixon watergate.
Romney derangement syndrome.
How low will the McCainiacs go?
Is this Watergate II? Who is it behind the scene? I would place bets on Huckster!!!! He got his goon son to get his friends to break in.
Now, that’s just silly.
No one’s going to vote for a guy because someone stole some laptops from him.
Clinton Inc.
How low will the McCainiacs go?
I guess the Huckster. If it was McCain he would be doing a press conference like Jimmy Baker. “I have deceived you...”
Are there different sentencing guidelines for day-time B&E?
Oh yes, such a crime wave in Romney’s home State (”broken into for the second time in four months”) really makes me want to vote for him.
You reap what you sow.
Wow
lol....
Obviously an illegal homosexual Muslim anti-Mormon Clinton supporter at work.
(Other than putting out stories that Fred Thompson was withdrawing on the eve several early primaries and caucuses, which wasn't so at the time)
Who was fired from the Mitt campaign over that, and how did the liberal Massachusetts ex governor make it right? Come up with a good answer that people in southern churches will swallow, because claiming the people who disapprove of Mitt's sliminess almost as much as they despise his liberal record on the second amendment and social issues wont gain many votes.
If anyone’s guilty of sliming it’s you MrEdd. Get a grip.
Come up with an answer to post 18 if you can, rising tide.
