Q Dana, thank you. To follow up on what you said about Gaza yesterday, today the situation seems to be easing a slight bit. But does the U.S. have any —
MS. PERINO: Say that again?
Q That the situation in Gaza is easing a slight bit today; there have only been three rockets strikes —
MS. PERINO: I think I would disagree. Well, it’s true that Israel has helped alleviate some of the blockade problems, but the situation on the border with Egypt and Gaza is quite serious today, and we are very concerned about it. We have been in touch with those parties, including many in the Egyptian government. The State Department has made those connections, and so I’d refer you to them.
Our focus right now should be on restoring the situation. And we note that the genesis of this problem is something I’ve mentioned over the past couple of days, which is Hamas sending in — sending over to Israel about — upwards of 150 rockets a day that are landing in their territory. And so Israel is defending itself. And we think the situation is quite serious and not alleviated at all.
Q Does the U.S. have any contact with anyone in Hamas? Is there any pressure, direct pressure the U.S. can put on?
MS. PERINO: As you know, we’ve had a policy of not talking with Hamas.

An “independent” Kosovo wil become an instant Gaza, or more likley an instant pre-2001 Afghanistan.
The Kosovo Albanians, and their criminal mis-leaders, are culturally incapable of running a state, and the mis-leaders are more interested in criminal rip-offs anyway.
And the Eurocrats who think that they will be the real powers in an independent Kosovo have proven themselves to be incompetent. Back in 2001 or so, I met one of them—a feckless Belgian woman who was in charge of electric power in Kosovo. She blamed Serbia (and its grid) for the lack of electricity in the province. Well, it’s now early 2008, and there is STILL little reliable electricity in Kosovo. It’s much too late to blame Serbia for that now!!!!
Justice, peace, civilization, and even electric power will only come to Kosovo with the Serbian (and perhaps Russian) army. And the Western leaders and the stupid islamist fellow-travelers will all have egg on their faces if the Russians get involved!!!!

So are you now accusing me of being anti-Christian? So, opposing some of the actions of Serbs - even if they were very anti-Christian actions - is now the same thing as being anti-Christian?

The only way to stop the destruction of the Christian churches in Kosovo is to deny handing to the Jihadists.

1) I don’t remember ever supporting the idea of giving them Kosovo.
2) It seems like they want it more than the Serbs are able or willing to hold it.
3) One way or another the Serbs seem to have already given up to them over the last century.
4) Whatever “job” the Albanians are planning on finishing has nothing to do with anything I have ever said or done.

Then cry your river now because it is clear that the Albanians, whether they are Jihadists or not, are going to run the place and destroy whatever they like. And you’ll be able to do exactly nothing to stop it. How will you cope?
