Fredheads for Romney (Mitt Addressed Crowd From Back of Pick-Up Truck)

Fredheads for Romney

Well, at least two of them. A little while ago, I was at a small Romney rally in a parking lot in Tampa. About 150 Romney fans gathered for a brief pep talk from Romney, in a crisp white dress shirt, with his sleeves rolled up.

Afterwards, I talked to an older woman who said immigration was one of her top issues and that she and her brother—also at the rally—swung to Romney as of yesterday, after their original candidate, Fred Thompson, dropped out.

In what can only be interpreted as a shameless bid for the Fred vote, Romney addressed the crowd from the back of a pick-up truck—although a white, not a red, one. That would have been just too obvious...

This little stunt is something I'd expect from Kerry.

I bet the pickup truck was also foreign with no dirt or mud on it.

Do you think Fred Thompson was the first one to ever stand on a truck while campaigning? This post is a pathetic attempt at criticizism.

Well, I’m not offended by it. We FRedheads have to go somewhere, unless we want to sit in a corner and sulk instead of voting. I do notice, however, that I’m getting pinged to the “Romney’s our guy” threads; I wonder if any other FRedheads are. That too is a clever tactic.

And has adopted Duncan’s views on issues...along with Duncan’s fence...

Man, that guy knows how to pander. Wins Michigan by promising to prop up the entire state economy out of the federal coffers. Promises a massive hurricane relief bureaucracy to win Florida. Now he's become Mr. Pickup Truck to court the Fred vote. Does he believe in anything?

I can only imagine how far to the left he's going to tack in the general.

My advice to FReadheads from a FReadhead is bookmark his exact points on the issues, print them out and keep them handy for the remainder of the race.

Call out for Fred to do commentary when he can.

Don’t let the talk radio ppl forget what Fred stands for.

In otherwords, don’t forget Fred, don’t accept less, and be a pain in the *ss! :-)

Where do I go?
I sure aint going for any of the “open border” sell outs. This country has been invaded. Over half of the people shopping at Wal-mart in Canton Georgia are speeching a foreign language.

From the Anchoress yesterday.

The truth is the GOP had produced several reasonable candidates for the presidential nomination. None are “perfect,” but neither are you. A vote for any of them will require from you an end to the thrust-lip tantrum. You’re going to have to wipe your little eyes, haul up your drawers and - egad - do what Reagan would have done; he would have looked for the candidate who he felt was - taken all-in-all - best for the whole nation, not just for some little one-issue subgroup; he would not simply vote for his comfort zone.

In unserious times, and vacations from history, it is possible to hold oneself aloof from a process and declare, “fiddle-dee-dee, I’ll think about voting next election!”

It cannot be said enough: we are in serious times. In this election you do not have the luxury of complacently waiting for the next bus because you don’t like any of these drivers. In this election, you either get on board and take the damn uncomfortable, bumpy ride with the rest of us, or you marginalize yourself into irrelevancy on your little bench
