ANYONE THINK IT IS TIME FOR ANOTHER PARTY?

Posted on 01/23/2008 1:05:47 PM PST by gbscott1954

I was sitting here thinking something that I have thought before several times in recent months. The Republican Party began as a third party championing the cause of abolition and westward expansion. Just was wondering some of your thoughts about if it is time to begin thinking about a new true conservative party dedicated to true conservative principles?

No, but it wouldn’t hurt to grumble about it loud enough to get someone’s attention down at GOP headquarters.

Every third party I have been involved with (Constitution, Libertarian, Conservative of NY, etc.) always attract flakes and are basically glorified role playing games a la Dungeons and Dragons.

I’d rather take back the Republican Party than go through starting a whole new one.

It would probably be easier and more fruitful to gut and overhaul the Republican Party.

Like it or not, our country has operated on a two-party system pretty much from the get-go.

An Israeli-style coalition government arrangement is hardly better than the mess we have here.

I’ve tried starting the Lemming Beach Party!

Even had a fight song set to Spring time for Hitler and Germany...(Spring time for Obama and Hillary).

The idea was to Vote for Hillary (Great American ‘ch In) then rub Dem noses in their own fecal matter for the next 4 to 8 years and prepare for a Purge of all three branches in 2012.

I am not ready to wait out 4-6 terms of donkey liberal reparations-financing, baby-abortin’ equal outcomes for all pinko administrations. Let’s fix what’s broken in the GOP.

I'll be in the shower.

Let me know if anything happens.

Actually, there’s a fair amount of those even in the major parties among the hard-core supporters.

I think what makes the minor parties more fringe-oriented is just the relative absence of less-ideological people.

I have wondered the same thing. Lets face it, we have really been betryed by the Republican party.

I raised my kids to be conservative. Both have told me they are independant, NOT Republican.
