A goth who leads his girlfriend around with a dog lead and collar was stopped from getting on a bus amid fears for passenger safety, a bus firm confirmed. Dani Graves, 25, and his fiancee Tasha Maltby, 19, of Dewsbury, West Yorks, claim they have been discriminated against by bus firm Arriva Yorkshire.
The black-clad couple said they had been told to leave one bus and prevented from boarding another.
The bus firm said safety came first, but it was investigating the complaint.
Bus operator Arriva claimed other passengers could be put at risk if the bus braked sharply.
Operations director for Arriva Yorkshire, Paul Adcock, said: "Arriva takes any allegation of discrimination very seriously and have interviewed the driver regarding Mr Graves' claims.
"Our primary concern is passenger safety and while the couple are very welcome to travel on our buses, we are asking that Miss Maltby remove her dog lead before boarding the bus.
"It could be dangerous for the couple and other passengers if a driver had to brake sharply while Miss Maltby was wearing the lead."
The company said it was writing to Mr Graves "to apologise for any distress caused by the way this matter was handled".
No wonder the islamofascists are gaining ground in Great Britain!
It says something that he would rather get off the bus then let her “off leash” for a while.

Dressing funny; odd makeup; wierd hair, so what? No biggie; acting like fools, though gets them treated as such. THAT is not predjudice; that is reaction to their action.

deride them for crying to the press, yes. but people should not based on how they dress.
I have to admire the nice spit shined boots they are wearing. At least they are not lazy goths.

Oh, please. The earliest origins of Goth were “look-at-me, look-at-me” types. The whole name of the game in Goth fashion and music is who can attract the most attention. Any phylogeny is based on either 1. origins, 2. uniquely recognizable characteristics, or 3. agreed-to understandings. In all three measures, Goths are 99% attention whores. One caveat: they often want to be ignored by all but other *goths*, but they are still attention whores. Conversely, emos want mainstream society to understand their feelings, but don’t so much like to be treated as exceptional.
Why would these two need a bus to get around? Are brooms in short supply?
