I disagree. You don't have to admit Hugh Hewiit was right to support Romney. You can say he was wrong, that Fred was the real choice, and that Romney is the runner-up, not the main course.
But Fred is gone. So it's time for the runner-up. For those who no longer have a candidate, Romney is the conservative choice.
Just leave it at Romney is a choice, leave conservative out of it.
Stalin may have been more Communist than Lennin, but they were still both Commies.
Fred is out of the race due in part to people like you who refused to support the one who would have supported conservatism for us. Your choice may win the nomination, but he is still a man with a CINO political career.
But you can relax. Many here will go to Mitt because, once again, real conservatives have been pushed aside and they will have to choose among what's left or sit it out. However, you two and many others from the FR Kill Thompson for Romney campaign are probably pushing it with a of people today.
Romney’s NOT the conservative choice. He’s one of the options left after all the conservative choices are gone.
If you want any kind of support from conservatives, now’s not the time to start dressing up Romney as a conservative. Call him what he is, then make an argument as to why I should vote for him anyway.
That’s where almost EVERY Thompson supporter is at this point. You may actually convince some to move in Romney’s direction.
As for me, I’m not going to negotiate with terrorists. Vote my way, or the country gets it. Fine, then the country gets it. It was probably time, if that’s what it REALLY comes down to. Maybe we can start over with some more viable.
Soviet Union collapsed and yet those Devils of the West didn’t rain nuclear horror down on Russia. If the US falls, something less optimal will take its place. I can’t care on behalf of those that don’t, and I can’t vote for someone that cares about it, so what’s expected of me?
If the republicans want to put up a conservative, I’ll vote for him or her. If they don’t, I’ll write one in. If my guy loses, and the liberal the R’s put up loses, the liberal the D’s put up will win.
If it makes you feel any better, you’ll get Romney anyway, even if you lose the general election. He’s our John Kerry.
Dear Mr. Wayne,
What color is the sky on your planet?
Regards,
L
Except for the conservative part, of course. And the choice part, too.
What will you do with your days, now that you don’t the Fred threads to spam anymore with your oh, so witty commentary and analysis.
“For those who no longer have a candidate, Romney is the conservative choice.”
Nah. I’m just going to wright in “Jesus Christ of Nazareth”, buy some guns, and wait for the rapture.
