Romney’s NOT the conservative choice. He’s one of the options left after all the conservative choices are gone.

If you want any kind of support from conservatives, now’s not the time to start dressing up Romney as a conservative. Call him what he is, then make an argument as to why I should vote for him anyway.

That’s where almost EVERY Thompson supporter is at this point. You may actually convince some to move in Romney’s direction.

As for me, I’m not going to negotiate with terrorists. Vote my way, or the country gets it. Fine, then the country gets it. It was probably time, if that’s what it REALLY comes down to. Maybe we can start over with some more viable.

Soviet Union collapsed and yet those Devils of the West didn’t rain nuclear horror down on Russia. If the US falls, something less optimal will take its place. I can’t care on behalf of those that don’t, and I can’t vote for someone that cares about it, so what’s expected of me?

If the republicans want to put up a conservative, I’ll vote for him or her. If they don’t, I’ll write one in. If my guy loses, and the liberal the R’s put up loses, the liberal the D’s put up will win.

If it makes you feel any better, you’ll get Romney anyway, even if you lose the general election. He’s our John Kerry.

Makes sense, they’re both from MA, they both flip flop and neither of them are conservative.

Sorry, but in my opinion Romney is a conservative. I said so when Fred was in the race, and I say so today. His platform is a solid conservative platform, I've posted a 26-point platform summary that, if I didn't tell you the name of the candidate, you would be gung-ho to support.

Since you mentioned terrorists, Romney is one of our candidates who calls them what they are: Confronting Radical Jihad-MittRomney.com

Jihadism – violent, radical, fundamental Islam – is this century’s nightmare. It follows the same dark path as last century’s nightmares: fascism and Soviet communism. Many still fail to comprehend the extent of the threat posed by radical Islam, specifically by those extremists who promote violent Jihad against the United States and the universal values Americans espouse. Yet, the consequences of ignoring this threat – such as a radicalized Islamic actor possessing nuclear weapons – are simply unacceptable.
Radical Islam has one goal: to replace all modern Islamic states with a worldwide caliphate while destroying the United States and converting all nonbelievers, forcibly if necessary, to a fundamentalist form of Islam.

Merely closing our eyes and hoping that Jihadism will go away is not an acceptable solution. U.S. military action alone cannot change the hearts and minds of hundreds of millions of Muslims. In the end, only Muslims themselves can defeat the violent radicals. But we must work with them. The consequences of ignoring this threat – such as a radicalized Islamic actor possessing nuclear weapons – are simply unacceptable.

GOVERNOR ROMNEY: "I think many of us still fail to comprehend the extent of the threat posed by radical Islam, by Jihad. Understandably, we focus on Afghanistan and Iraq. Our men and women are dying there. We think in terms of countries, because we faced countries in last century's conflicts. But the Jihad is much broader than any one nation or nations. Jihad encompasses far more than the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. For radical Islam, there is an over-arching conflict and goal - replacing all modern Islamic states with a caliphate, destroying America, and conquering the world." (Governor Mitt Romney, Remarks At The George Herbert Walker Bush Presidential Library, 4/10/07)

Romney has been speaking with the right terminology and the right focus throughout this campaign.

Conscious as I am of Romney’s flaws, I would never call him John Kerry.

I do not think that Romney would lie about atrocities by soldiers in front of a Congressional committee.

John Kerry is scum.
