It is now a three man race.

Giuliani is a no.
McCain is a no.
that leaves Romney as the Republican most likely to immitate algore’s charisma.

‘I don’t think I’ve ever seen a politician fall so hard, so fast.’ Gary Hart

Wrong---not Gary Hart----Donna Rice said that. ROTFLOL.

Photo of Donna Rice sitting on the knees of Gary Hart on the luxury yacht Monkey Business, the climactic image that ended Hart's first 1988 presidential campaign.

Old classic.

Its funny Donna Rice pretends these days to be a flower of purity these days...(chuckle)

Reminds me of that country song ‘Momma, before she was Momma’

McCain now supports making the tax cuts permanent, wants a 10% corporate tax cut, wants to secure the border first, backed off of LOST, wants to overturn Roe, among other things. Do you really take converts?

The guy that needs to be stopped is McLame. If Mr. Amnesty is the nominee I’m voting Constitution Party, even if it is Ron Paul.

Stupid is, as stupid does.

dont we want people moving right?

We want people to sincerely move to the right. Not to opportunistically appear to move to the right.

Then you'll get Hillary, Hildacare and plain Hell! On the other hand, I guess I'd be a hypocrite for telling you not to vote third party 'cause if the Romulan gets the GOP nod I'm going to do the same thing--even if I knowingly will elect Hillary or Obama doing it. ROMNEY NEVER!

MITT is OK!

Hey folks, I have decided to support MITT ROMNEY for President! He is more conservative than McLame, the Huckster and Rudy COMBINED!

Florida & the rest of the nation, let's support MITT!

BullMITT! You Romulans really try to pull out all the slime don't you to try and trash a good man who will make a great president! You cannot seem to think for yourselves, you let your great heroes Rush, Hannity, et al do your mental work for you.
There is not one person that I've ever met whose "free speech" was ever affected by CFR--the only thing it did was let more people without large special interest backing (i.e. Huckabee, Hunter, and Paul) get into the race. The so-called amnesty bill was legislation that George Bush (who incidentally got 90 percent of the backing here of "conservatives" on FR when he ran in 2000) wanted.
John McCain has been a stalwart warrior on the REAL threat facing this nation--Islamic jihad. His plan is to make Iraq a buttress against Iran and a beacon of hope for the Middle East. You and your ilk are in effect pushing for a Hillary sweep come November 2008--therefore I regard you as the REAL traitor to the country I love and certainly an enemy of conservatism.

Meandog, you like that Hillary bootlicker Mark Warner, and you hate GWB (’the chump’), so your ‘threat’ to let Hillary win can be considered a freudian slip.

Well, you dont get out much, fool. Every activist Republican group has been harmed/impacted by that onerous regulation.

“McCain now supports making the tax cuts permanent,”
So McCain flipflopped on that.

” wants a 10% corporate tax cut,”
So McCain flipflopped on that.

” wants to secure the border first,”
So McCain flipflopped on that.

” backed off of LOST,”
So McCain flipflopped on that.

” wants to overturn Roe, among other things.”
So McCain flipflopped on that.

” Do you really take converts?”
McCain may be a big time flipflopper to placate the conservative base he loathes, but he really hasnt changed on immigration. He still is for amnesty not deportation. He also is for CO2 caps, in the McCain-Lieberman bill.
He still is wrong on treatment of terrorist prisoners. He still is wrong on stem cells.

Why do you think someone who moves to the right is worse than a RINO who panders to the liberal MSM?

I think you have me confused with someone else. I'm for Duncan Hunter and have been since he announced. Fred Thompson was my second choice.

If I believed for one second that Mitt Romney was sincere in his move to the right, I wouldn't have a problem with it. His "conversion" strikes me as opportunism and nothing else.

You cannot seem to think for yourselves, you let your great heroes Rush, Hannity, et al do your mental work for you.

Very few if any of those links is to a Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity article. They are mostly written by respected conservative publications. Apparently you don't have anything of substance to refute even one of them. A lot of those articles are sourced by direct quotes from Sen. McCain himself. Some are videos of him speaking in his own words. There is no sliming in providing links to conservative articles is there?

You will be happy to know that I have been told not to post it anymore by the AdminModerator. (courtesy ping to moderator)

Do you think this information is secret or something? Do you think the MSM and the Dems won't start dragging this out after he's the candidate?

Well, a couple days ago, Gov. Rick Perry was on Fox. He was in Florida with Giuliani and endorsed him months ago. Perry had also given huge Texas contact work to Rudy’s law firm in Texas. They are joined at the hip and Perry would have been his VP.

Anyway, on Fox, Perry said Rudy was the closest to R. Reagan than any other candidate. My husband and I looked at each other and were speechless. We are both Texas Republican activists. I hope Perry is crying in his coffee about now while he takes in the Florida sunshine. Maybe Florida could just keep him as he is done in Texas politics.
